Invitations: Parents Hosting, RSVPs sent to them?

My parents are "hosting" the wedding (aka Mr. and Mrs. Smith request the honor of your presence...). Should the RSVP cards be addressed to them, or does it not matter?
Thanks!

It doesn't matter- who ever will be the run tracking down the stragglers should get the RSVPS but that's just my opinion.

The RSVP's are being sent back to my name - although I live with my parents, so it really doesn't matter. Most of my friends also addressed it to themselves.

I don't think it matters.  We're all chipping in financially&planning-wise, so I had wanted the RSVPs to come directly to us, but we don't yet know where we'll be living by then (we're in the process of selling our condos), so the RSVPs are going to my dad's merely for convenience.

In terms of etiquette, the replies should be addressed to your parents since they are the hosts. "Hosts" means that they're the people organizing the event and taking care of the guests ... "hosts" doesn't necessarily mean that they are paying for the wedding.

That being said, it's fine if you want the replies sent to you, if your parents are O.K. with that.

Yeah, My parents are "hosting" but I'm having the RSVPs sent to me. I think it would drive me bonkers if I didn't get to see the replies as they were received and had to ask my mom about them! haha
