Debi - Fit for Bride Pricing?

Hey guys!  Just wondering if you could help me out and give me a rough estimate of how much dress steaming costs?

All the pricing is listed on the advance reservation form if you click on the link.

Depending on the type of gown $70-$100 for steaming.

Worth every penny for me. :)

  • This is my dress and she's charging $100 for steaming and $30 for delivery. Still need to actually book her though lol. Should be doing that later this week though.

My dress has a lot of layers & is organza though so if yours doesn't have too many layers and is a different type of fabric it might be cheaper.
  • I need to remember this for down the road. Do most people get this done? I figure they steam the dress after alterations. Does it get that bad in transit to Vegas via plane or car? I have no clue about this... I have a charmeuse sheath dress... Cute dress!!!! From the Vera White collection right?
  • I need this link too - I just bookmarked it so I'd remember it in the future.  Thanks ladies!

Love that dress, petitmonstree!  I'm actually going dress shopping today and I'm hoping to try on the v neck version!
  • petit, I love your dress! ;D
  • for those of you who have used her already. I was wondering about the bottom of the dress once you take it out of the garment bag. My thoughts are since its stuffed back in the bag wouldn't the bottom re-wrinkle? I was gonna bring a travel steamer just in case.
  • petitmonstree - I actually have the same dress, but I'm altering a lot of it :)

I already have debi lined up, and she's allowing us to add anyone else that wants to at $15 each dress up to a day before service. From what I hear, she's worth every penny, and has great responses.

Really depends on how you get it there and how long it takes.  If you don't want to deal with the hassle of getting it to Vegas, a lot of girls ship it directly to Debi; of course shipping it probably creates the most wrinkles.  Airplanes can be hit or miss, sometimes you can find an accommadating flight attendent to put it in the first class closet if there's room, or in an overhead bin by itself, but if the flight is full you may find it get folded and crammed in an overhead with a bunch of luggage.  My wife booked a second seat on Southwest so she could keep it out of the bin and also not worry about it being shipped; it wasn't wrinkled too much but we still had Debi deal with it which was a lot easier than worrying about it herself.

<div>Really? Have you already had it altered? I'm scared it's going to cost an arm and a leg to have it altered lol.</div><div>
</div><div>I didn't know she did that though, I might have to add on my sister's dress (her MoH dress is like the short version of mine).</div><div>
</div><div>Also I'm not sure if the delivery cost is round trip. I would think it is though.</div>

That will vary dramatically based on insurance and the dimensions of the box that you need to use, so no way for us to estimate it.  Could be $50 or $400.  It would have been more expensive for my wife to ship and insure her dress than it would have been to buy the extra seat on Southwest to haul it along with her.
