Nevada-Las Vegas

Hotel Weddings that allow own vendors such as photographers?!

Hi, i'm from Australia and we've decided on a destination wedding in Vegas. I've only started lookking at venues but all so far use Cashman as their photographer and don't allow a external one, same for floristry etc.

Can anyone suggest venues that i arn't so strict with using their packages & vendors? I'm clueless so any tips or suggestions would be a HUGE help!

Thanks so much
Sophie

Hi there, almost all the hotels on the strip let you bring your own photographer if you pay a fee, which varies from a venue to another. I'm pretty sure that the only hotel that won't allow outsider vendors at all is the Venetian. I'm getting married at the Wynn and the fee for outside photographers during the ceremony is $700. No outside florists permitted. I'm attaching the link to the vegas knotties bios so you can browse around and get a better idea of all the different venues

As per your other post, I don't think there are safety problems in Vegas if we consider the strip and downtown (fremont street). There must be less safe areas, as in all cities, but I doubt you run the risk of experiencing them.

    Good luck and happy planning!

This is not entirely true anymore.  Read the stickied post at the top of the board- Caesars has a firm 'no outside photogs policy'.  Bellagio has a firm 'no outiside florists policy'.  Ask your WC for their specific vendor rules (and beware they can change instantly) and read your contract carefully.

I know Four Seasons lets you bring in all your own vendors.

You would be better going off the strip. I'm getting married and One Six at the Eastside Cannery it is off the strip and you can bring your photographer and florist.

Golden Nugget allows your own photographer in the meeting rooms as well as your own florist.

You are best off to pick some favorite locations and then send them a list of questions so you can narrow from there.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

Another off strip possibility would be Red Rock or Green Valley Ranch. Both are gorgeous venues and I've seen some photographer's blogs that have shot the entire wedding.

Thanks ladies. I have contacted a couple i like (Venetian, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay) and they either don't get back to me or they dodge the questions! lol I did get this morning the 'conditions' from the Manadalay and it says no outside vendors but can purchase extra time with their photographer if we can't pics outside the property etc..
I have no problem going off strip but we only have approx 25 guests, could be less becuase we're coming all the way from sunny Qld, Australia and everyone's paying for themselves so it will only be a small wedding. Most resorts off strip seem to have a 50 guest minimum. I'll keep looking though :)
Are the golf /country clubs in the area available to non-members/international guests?? I've enquired at a couple in the area but haven't heard back as yet, thought that might be why lol.

Thanks again and i apologise in advance if my posts/questions start to become annoying...

Try the Las Vegas Country Club, I am pretty sure they do non-member weddings. There room is good for a small group for a reception and its less than 2 miles from the strip.

I am also at Four Seasons and they do not have any required vendors. Not sure how small of weddings they do, but they do have smaller meeting rooms.

There is only a 50 person minimum at my hotel for a buffet.  Also, you might look into an in suite celebration.  There isn't a minimum there.
