What to do for people after a 7:30 PM wedding @ Caesars!??!

Hi everyone! We're getting married at Caesars at 7:30pm in April and I have no idea what to do for a group of 20-30 mid 20 year olds = / Will everyone have already ate? Do we just do an open bar package at a restaurant? We like something more fun and up beat like Kahunaville/Cabo Wabo but just aren't sure. Do people do lunch before the wedding ever for everyone and then just party after? Recommendations please!!! Thanks so much!!

After the wedding you should have some sort of reception, whether it be cake and a champagne toast or a dinner with a full bar.  It doesn't really matter but you really should host something somewhere for your guests as that is your thank you to all of your guests for coming.

    What is your budget?

Since it is a DW, please do more than cake and a toast.  Take them to dinner at a restaurant, host a reception in a ballroom, do an in-suite reception with heavy apps.

You can do an afterparty later if you want more dancing and drinking.

You could do appetizers and cake.

My wedding was at 6:30 pm, we had a small meal and tons of appetizers and open bar.

People will be hungry so you need to provide some sort of food.  Look at possibly doing an insuite reception for that size group.

Our budget is limited to about $2000, We are inviting 30 people but will be sending out invitations soon to get a count, Looking more at probably 20 people! A lot of heavy drinkers... . Not sure if we should just do lunch before and then drink and appetizers after?

WallAcje did you do your food/drinks at Caesars  after your ceremony?

Does the $2K include your ceremony costs?  Try to whittle down your guest list more so you get to a number that you can comfortably feed well (to Smokey's point, not just cake and champange toast or a light meal).  If they're heavy drinkers, perhaps an in-suite reception is key; you could bring in some liquor from Costco and then get it catered by Masterpiece Cuisine/Jason's Deli etc.

Assuming that your $2k is ONLY F&B, that actually leaves about $1570 before tax and service charge or $52pp.

There are plenty of restaurants that can do a prix fixe menu for less than that.  I believe that the buffet at the M resort does dinner and beer/wine for somewhere around 30-40 PP.  Maybe you could do that in conjunction with a double decker bus for transport.

If you cannot properly feed and water your guests at 30 people, cut your list.  Also, budget for the number you invite, not the amount that you think may show up.

Just to add-I did a rehearsal dinner in suite for 30 people that was about $1000 for food and then another $500 for beer and wine.  The suite itself was somewhere around $300-$400 per night.

We had a wedding that was done around 5PM, and we then went back to our hotel, had a cocktail party at the hotel lounge with our friends and family, then headed out to dinner at a local restaurant that did wedding receptions.  After that, we had another cocktail party for awhile until about 10PM, then we went to a club and had a great time.  All of the venue changes sorta kept it light and fun, and everyone got to eat too.  Good time for sure.  Best of luck.

Our ceremony is at 7 and we are doing a cockail reception at 8 with heavy apps and open bar.  "Dinner" time is flexible in Vegas.

I think if you say "reception to follow" on your invites, people will eat what they feel is best before going to the wedding.  If I personally was attending at 7:30pm wedding, I'd have something to eat beforehand knowing we wouldn't have a meal again until probably 9pm.

2k fortwenty/ thirty people is totally doable! I agree you should do something organized to thank the guest but you have quite a few options! I know heavy apps and open bar with masterpiece catering is in your budget and if you work with your wc she can get you a good price for a suite that'll fit everyone. Personaly that's what we're doing because we figure our group will want to go out after eating and party more so out on the strip.
What is your wedding date we might be wedding day buddys!
