vista suite + family photos

So I asked Todd if we could take family photos upstairs in the Vista Suite after the wedding because I want people to be able to drink/eat and party while just my fiance and I take pictures.

My question is: did anyone do this? Did you  just call members over to take pictures in one area or was it less formal. I just have a large family, and I want pix with everyone! Did you have a list of pictures to take? Did you just use a small corner of the suite?

I think the details are starting to kill me!

    I was ALL over the room! So I would stop and take a pic with whoever. It  was so nice to not worry and I am sure I have lots of candid shot's which is what I wanted.

    Things got hectic between leaving the ceremony and getting to the room that we did not do the posed family shots. But we still got pic's with them!

    we did family formals about 2 hours into the reception in the vista suite.
     We just started with all family members, then eliminated them so we got all combinations, haha. We closed the curtains in the living room, at the side that was brighter and it worked out really well :-)
