Four Seasons brides - Please Help!

I went in for my tasting last week and was really upset. Everything we tried was straight up AWFUL. I need to rework my entire menu less than 3 months before the wedding. Anyone have a wedding here and like the food? What things should I have for sure? What things should I avoid? I really wanted to do Action Stations, but now I'm starting to rethink things...

I got married at the Four Seasons on July 4 and used action stations. Which ones did you try? I did the pasta station, fajita and taco station and brisket carving station. I also added a salad station and because it was fourth of july I had popsicles rather than a desert bar. I used an outside vendor for my cake. who is your WC?

I had a lunch reception there in April and thought the food was good.  We didn't do Action Stations but had a three course sit down meal.  We had the Ceasar Salad, which was great.  And for the main course we had the filet mignon and that was really good.  Our dessert was our cake....it looked good but due to all the fondant they used I didn't think it was the best tasting.  But other people thought it was moist and tasted good.  We also did 3 appetizers including bruschetta and fish and chips.  Again both were really good.  I can't remember the third app we got.

Thanks for the quick replies girls!southmeetswest - I tried the pizzas (awful), asian food (awful), mac and cheese (OK), burgers (really good actually), and most of the appetizers I tried were really bad (lobster cake, prime rib on foccacia, crab and avocado, etc). I'm doing mexican for my welcome party, but pasta station and brisket are both interesting. How was the pasta? How was the brisket compared to TX BBQ?bosgirl78 - Good to know about the Caesar, we were looking at doing salad station or Caesar salads. I did request buttercream for the cake, but honestly I wasn't blown away by the cake at the cake tasting.. it was pretty disappointing. Maybe I need to try the bruschetta!

One last question! My coordinator is Karin. How much did they charge you for a cake cutting fee for using an outside vendor? After trying their cake I'm seriously leaning in that direction!!

The pasta was my favorite! It was Pesto Ravioli, Fusili with tomato garlic sauce and farfalle pasta with white wine cream sauce. The beef brisket wasn't quite TX BBQ but our guests were please to have a variety. I considered the salmon but I wasn't sure if everyone would really enjoy it. We weren't fans of the pizza either. For our appetizers we kept it simple (again mostly because it was summer and fourth of July) so we did the fish and chips, mini corn dogs, beef franks in a pastry puff, mini chicago deep dish pizzas, chipotle grilled shrimp on a bamboo skewer, and crab and avocado salad in tortilla cup. Our cake cutting fee was $175. A bit steep, but we really wanted an outside vendor for our cake. And our cake person understood the fee issue and waived the delivery charge for us, so that made it easy. I know exactly how you feel right now. I was three months out when I did my tasting and was so disappointed in the pizza and had to change menu and didn't have time to do another tasting. You can email me if you have any more questions, I'd be happy to help! lvbaygirl04 at yahoo

Oh man..... now I'm nervous.  I'm having a cocktail reception following my wedding in September.  We were just going for heavy apps probably 8-10.  I haven't chosen anything yet, but I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed. :(
