We found a venue we liked...now what??

Hello! So my fiance and I just got back from Vegas and after checking out 8 places, we decided we liked Emerald at Queensridge the best. How does everyone finally make the committment and sign the contract. I am so afraid of making a bad decision. Also, if anyone has anything good or bad to say about Emerald before I sign, that would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!Also, how do you get your dress to Vegas? Just in a suitcase??

I probably had my contract for a week before I could actually bring myself to sign it.  If your gut says it's the place for you then go for it!!As for your dress, you can either ship it or carry it with you.  Plenty of people have had no problem shipping theirs, but I didn't feel comfortable with that so I took it on the plane as my carry on, and then had it steamed when we got there.  I had an entire suitcase full of stuff that was staying in Vegas - favors, etc, so I put my dress in that suitcase to bring it home since it was empty after the wedding.  It worked out quite well.

About the dress: If you're getting your dress at David's Bridal, ask about transfer options. I live out of state, and after all my alterations are done (about 2 weeks before the wedding) I am having it transferred to their store that's practically a short cab ride from the Mandalay Bay where we will be staying. They have assured me that it will arrive "ready to wear" and are only charging $27. However!!! The lady that helped me was VERY nice, i'm not completely sure if she was just going above and beyond, or if it's something they do regularly. It doesn't hurt to ask! She offered to have it taken care of when I asked her about the best way to transport it to the wedding location.

I say thumbs up on the venue! Beautiful, Staff is excellent from what I have been told by a few people here in town that had their weddings there.
