Reception that allows dj for 20-30 pp$$ help please

Hi,We are doing a small wedding and had to cxl are big wedding because of money situations. We decided to go to Vegas for a small wedding and reception. Close family and just 4 of my best friends. So right now i don't know where to go to have a reception. I was thinking TI for the ceremony because there rates are very reasonable. Then looking at Brio Tuscan Grill in the outlet mall by FRYS... There prices are really good and so is the food, but they have a food minimum and since we are only having 22 people attending including ourselfs it wont work for the room we want.Should we still have a reception with dancing or should we wait till our money situations are better and have the dj at that renewal of vows/ big reception for everyone in the later year? What is everyone doing? Are you still having a dj or just a reception with food? What is a good places 20-30 pp $$ to have a reception? Thanks sorry for the long story and all the questions. Ill my plans came crashing down less then 9 months till our wedding . Boo :(

If you're def. having a big reception/party a year from now for everyone....it might be easier financially to do your ceremony and then either just go hang out at a bar/lounge afterwards or go out for a nice dinner. But it's up to you in the end...I hear Maggiano's is great with receptions and price wise it's really good too.

You think we should just wait till we can afford the big one? Im so going crazy on what we should do?

I think if you're going to have a big party indefinitely it might be good to save and put money aside for that. There are tons of things to do in Vegas that won't break your budget for a decent size group of people. There are a lot of girls who have just gone out afterwards and whoever went with them did, others who have had in-suite receptions, I'm taking my guests on a strip tour...it really depends on what you want to have and what you're looking to spend. There are a lot of Vegas chapels that offer nice ceremony and reception packages. That might be something to look into. Check out the Knottie Bride List and look at what others have done. You'll def. find something in Vegas. It's just a matter of finding it....there's soooo many options! Haha

The Grove and The Grand Terrace offer nice packages...

I agree with Matilda.I would try to find a nice inexpensive/cost effective place for dinner and then go out afterwards. Or maybe do something at a buffet. If you are really in a finacial bind you can do the buffet option and let your guests know what while you apporeciate their being there, unfortunatley you don't have the meanss to pay for their meal. Less t6hen ideal, but other knotties have done it.

For a group that size, maybe an in-suite ceremony and reception would work best.  You can have it all in the suite- ceremony, cake, music for dancing via ipod.Honestly, I would try to find a way to make it work now. I mean, how certain are you that you will be able to have the big vow renewal later on?  I would hate for you to not have the small reception now and then not get the one you had counted on later.  Would you be ok if that were to hapen, or would you always feel that something was missing.Just something to think about.

We would have money later on to have our big wedding. Basically what happened. We put 1k down to hold at a place in Orange County. We are basically waiting for my FI to get done with school. Unfortunately what he does is undetermined and its based on him not the school. Hes almost done. Hes going to school for a courtreporters... One more speed test then hes qualified to take the state test. Anywho... We are debating if we should eat the 1k and have a big reception somewhere else... have a small vegas wedding so i keep the date and plans of a May 1 2010 wedding then later in 2010 have the big reception there with everyone. Or have a small vegas wedding, eat the 1k and find somewhere else possibly vegas again for the big wedding. LOL.Sorry so much. Im so frusterated. We have less then 9 months and it all came at once on deciding on what we had to do at last min.How much would renting the big suite cost. I was thinking about it.Thanks everyone!
