Advice for newbie - wedding October 2009!

Hi,I am flying in from the UK and need recommendations for hair and make-up, hotel, shows to see, nice place for wedding dinner, limos - not much !!!!! If I book direct with a hotel and book a show package does this mean they will not honour the best rate if the price drops? Do you get upgrades if you are getting married in LV. We have booked the Graceland Elvis package as there is just the 2 of us and we wanted it to be fun. sorry for all the questions.Yorkie

My best suggestion would be for you to check the Vegas Resources that lists everything you'lre looking for and more. (Link in my sig) But for some quick suggestions I would say: Make up: Glamsquad, Makeup on the 702, Lori WhiteHotel: Depends on what you're looking to spend...Limo: Presidential Limo....any limo company can do strip toursPhotos: Bently&Wilson, Ron Miller, Chelsea NicoleDef. check out the Vegas Resources though and look through the Vegas Brides List for other Knotties who have used the vendors that you're looking at for reviews.Good Luck with everything!!

Thanks for all the advice from you all - really appreciate it! One other thing - will you see the groom on the wedding day, before the ceremony -its bad luck is n't it? I was planning on kicking him out when the glamsquad arrive and then meeting him at the Chapel when Elvis walks me up the aisle. Also how do you hide the dress in the hotel room as I dont want him to see it before the day? Is that still bad luck - or doesn't it count in Vegas?I've still not booked the hotel - I suppose we could get a room with a second bathroom and hide the dress in there. Might see the bride on the 21st as we get there on the 23rd and are staying for a week - where are you staying?Looking at THE hotel and palazzo - as you get more room for your money.Only got the shoes left to buy and my headdress - got the dress - a bit tight!!! On strict diet and exercise at moment.Just a thought - if I am chatting on here am I officially a bridzilla!!!

Haha no you're def. not a Bridezilla for chatting on here. I agree with pp with looking at smartervegas.com for hotel codes and deals. FI and I are staying and getting married at MGM Grand. I'll have my dress in our hotel room/suite closet....he's expected not to peek! He won't see me the day of the wedding except for when we wake-up and before I head down for hair/make-up. After that I'll head over to my parent's hotel room and then I'll head down to the bridal suite where I'll get into my dress there.

Were staying at PH but getting wed at Caesars so we have 1 nights accomodation included in our package. I plan to stay in that room the night before the wedding and don't plan to see my FH the day before the wedding either.. i think its going to make the day so much more special because i wont have seen him for a whole day before I become his wife!!  We have quite a few guests flying out with us and my parents will be there so the dress is being kept in there room and then i will take it to Caesars with me the day before. My dress will be with Debi for steaming from the Sunday anyway so i will probably just collect it from her the day before the big day!
