My fiance and I need to budget for 60 people for our reception and don't have a large budget. Can we do this for under 5k? Any and ALL suggestions are welcomed!!

I would check out the Vegas FAQ and bio list for ideas. I used Grand Lux Cafe in the Palazzo and  it would definitely fit your budget. I think Maggianos may also- it too is very popular. Other choices to look at- Il Fornaio, Trevi, Joe's Stone Crab, Canaletto should all be pretty close to that budget.

Ricardo's....another Knottie on here posted that she's using McMullan's Irish Bar and I believe she said that she was doing it for a little over $1000 for 30 people?  It was in one the postings below.

We're doing ESPN Zone for 50 people at right around $3500.  But, we are huge sports fans so we like the games and decor.

I'll 2nd ESPN!  The bristol suite can accomodate your guest list.  It has a view of the strip, is separate from the rest of the restuarant, has neutral decoor and is within your budget.

With exactly 60 people, and all 60 of them being adults, you can have your reception at Maggiano's Little Italy, but after tax and gratuity you would be at about $5500.00. This is including your cake, standard linens, and a 4 hour open bar. If you truly want to stay under the 5k mark, you can do the following:*Use a special Occasion menu, which does not include the toast and cake. You can get your cake another way. This puts you right under $5k*Reduce the amount of time you have an open bar. You can have an open bar for the last 3 hours, since you may not have as many people interested in drinking during dinner anyway. If you don't think your crowd is the drinking type, you can eliminate the free bar entirely for a cash bar, or drink tickets. Doing this will significantly reduce your pp cost and put you under your 5k budget, even after adding tax and gratuity. Maggiano's is a BEAUTIFUL place. The food is served family style, so you only need very small centerpieces. You can even get away with no centerpieces at all. The linens are very formal, and the room is already very elegant, so you really need no decorations at all. This will save you a lot of money in the long run as well. I would definitely consider Maggiano's, the food is wonderful, the banquet manager is great to work with, and the atmosphere of the reception room is absolutely perfect.

We had 67 people, and had apps, salads, limited menu (our choice), 2 alcoholic drinks per person, and champagne toast (we provided champagne), for under $4K.  This was at Ocean One in Miracle Mile.  Talk to Brian, manager, if interested.

We are using the Vintner Grill, depending on what kind of food you are wanting, apps or full meal, you can definately make it under 5K. Their patio has a 3K minimum. Peter is the manager.

We are doing our ceremony and reception an The Grove. For 100 people we are getting two salads, two entrees, three sides, our wedding cake, flowers, centerpieces, chair covers, chair bows, table lines, a DJ for 6500.00. We are doing on a Thursday so we are saving a thousand dollars for that. But, even then it would only be 7500.00 and that includes 100 ppl and our ceremony. The website is the-grove.com if you want to check it out. I think it's beautiful there.

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions! My fiance is really loving Maggiano's and looks like our guest list is going to more around 40 - 50 people and half of them dont drink. I'll be looking into other options as well we still are a ways off! Thanks again everyone!
