Dress doubts...

Did anyone else have doubts about their dress after they ordered it?I'm starting to worry that I made the wrong choice - it's too big and heavy for Vegas, I'm going to have trouble getting it there from the UK, it's not white/ivory ... it's too late to change my mind now though as I've already paid a huge deposit.

I had a BIG bout of buyer's remorse after I ordered my dress and even though I was really excited about picking it up, I had butterflies incase I didn't like it anymore.Good news is I love it more every time I look at it! I also have a big dress and have to get it over to Vegas from the UK, which will be a bit more hassle, but the way I see it, having a dress that I adore is well worth the extra effort.I think it's natural- it's such an important detail and probably the thing people are waiting to see the most. Just try and remember how you felt when you tried it on and hopefully that will put your mind at ease

You're right Ray Ray. Maybe I'll feel better after I've been for my first fitting. I hope so!

Yeah....I had to make myself stop looking at dresses! LOL...I am more excited now, because before I commited to my dress, I made sure and tried on every style possible, but until it is in and I get it fitted to me I will still somewhat doubt myself(LOL)...But I think it is normal to wonder!:)

I had the same problem.  I ended up purchasing another dress. The problem with my original dress (Maggie Sottero - Coco) was that I fell in love with the top and all the sparkles. I hated that it was so heavy (made of taffeta) and the butt of the dress actually drove me crazy, I think it was made for a super skinny person. The more and more I looked at dresses, the more I came to honestly hate my dress. I somehow ended up talking my bridal shop into allowing me to order a new dress.... I am SO glad that I did!!!! I can honestly say that I actually found my dream dress. I would say that if you still love your dress but you are having second thoughts that there "could" be another one out there... not to worry I am sure you picked the right dress. If you are started to hate the way you look in it, then I would say to start looking for a new one.

I'm a UK Bride and I have a HUGE dress and I stressed for about 6 months about how to get it over! I fly out next Saturday and we had a trial run last night of putting it in a vac pack bag and getting it into the box to take on as hand luggage... it is a bit of a squeeze but it will definitley fit!!  I ordered my dress 14months ago and it took 7 moths to come in and I kept looking online worrying that it wasn't right but since my dress came in I've had it at mum's and i've only tried it on once and looked at it 3 times!! I see it again in the bag for the first time in about 4 months last night and I LOVE it and cannot wait to wear it!!  My advice would be not to keep looking at it because you may get bored of it if you have a while to wait! Keep it somewhere other than your home so your not tempted to look at it!I'll let you know how i got on with the final run of putting the dress in the box and getting it over when back from honeymoon!! x

Adamsvicky- does your dress have sewn on embellishments? I had thought about those vac bags but have this weir fear that the vacuum will suck some of the crystals off.! Is that a bit ridiculous?

I regretted buying one so soon. I kept telling myself that I should have tried on more. Once the dress was at home I kept telling myself it was not the one, once I went in for alterations I loved it, after picking it up from alterations I didn't like it. The day of the wedding I did not even think twice about it, it was the one. Really at that point I don't think I had a choice in the matter, LOL.

I'd never thought about using a vacuum bag! Does it get really creased? I know it's going to be creased however I take/send it, but I would have thought that a vacuum bag would make it super wrinkled. Let me know how it works out.
