Budget Friendly Reception

Hello,I am looking for ideas for budget friendly receptions.  My ceremony is taking place at the MGM but they do not allow outside catering in their in-suite receptions so I am looking for alternate ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Lauren,I got a couple of good prices from different places McMullans was $1040 (inc all sales tax and gratuity) included in that was a 4 course sit down meal with a choice of entrees 2 glasses of wine per person (30 ppl). The Angle Park Golf Club quoted me under $2000 for a 3 course meal + cermony except no minister inc or flowers or music again for 30 people. Also someone mentioned that Fellinis they had their wedding there and she give excellent reviews. Hope this helps!

Hi Lauren,Most hotels say they don't allow outside catering, but as long as your not too blatent about it, it can be arranged. A lot of brides on here have had in-suite receptions and used Jasons Deli or Masterpice Cusine to cater without any problems at all. The Terrace Suite at the MGM is one that a few brides have used. The bigger suites at Mandalay Bay and Planet Hollywood are also popular.Have a look at the Vegas FAQ (link in my sig) for loads of info on vendors. There's also a page that links to a lot of knotties bios - great for seeing what can and has been done!

Some of the more popular budget-friendly restaurant locations are Battista's, Buca di Beppo, Gordon Biersch, ESPN Zone, any of the buffets on the Strip and Ricardo's. Maggiano's and Grand Lux are also very popular although maybe just a little bit more costly than some of the other places mentioned above.I'm sure I'm forgetting some places, but I'm sure other knotties will chime in.  :-)

HiI just booked the terrace suite at the MGM for 2 nights and they know I am having an insuite reception because I rented tables from them...You have to go throught reservations.  I am using Masterpiece Cuisine to cater in the food and we are getting our own booze and bringing in our own cake and decorating the room. :)

We spent more on a large limo for everyone to fit in and are taking everyone to "The M Hotel" for the buffet.  My MOH lives out in Vegas and has been checking everything out for me.  Locals swear that the buffet at the M is the best...it is $24.50/pp and INCLUDES beer and wine with the buffet...no limit.  :-)  Just an idea if you are looking for somewhere to eat and get out on the town in no time.
