Venues in Greensboro area

I've been looking for the perfect reception venue for weeks.  Do any of you have suggestions for the Greensboro area?  Looking to spend less than $2k just for the place.

How many guests are you expecting?

Magnolia Manor can accomodate about 150 but can squeeze in more if you are willing to be flexible on the setup.  The price a few months ago was 2150 to have access and use of the building all day, or 1800 i think for a six hour block morning or evening.  There are some additional charges depending on what you want (garden use, dance floor, etc.) but their prices are on their website.  If you google Magnolia Manor Greensboro you should find it.  Their wedding coordinator is great 0 I don't know how much she does the day of, but as far as asking for recommendations for vendors she knows a lot.  She writes the advice coliumn in the Triad Weddings magazine.

We looked at a ton of places, so if you let us know guest number I can suggest some more that we looked at!

Jessica, I'm looking for more rustic, but I might have to resort to a more formal place due to the limited rustic venues in the area.  I've contacted the Hayloft, and it is already booked for all the weekends of October.

Beth, I'm expecting between 170-200 people to come.  I'm inviting 230 people.  When is your date?  If your date is 10-23-10, then Magnolia is already booked for a fabulous wedding.Wink

I got married at Sertoma 4-H Center in Stokes Co. about 45 mins from Greensboro. It's an old mineral springs resort and quite rustic. It rents for $1500 for the ENTIRE WEEKEND! We came in early Friday did all the decorating and then took it down on Sunday.

    Here's a few photos

Ha, that is the date.  Guess that is yours also?  Some of the more rustic places people recommended I look at are:

    Hodgin Valley Farms - http://www.hodginvalleyfarm.com/weddings.php
Bryan Park and BurMil park both rent out their clubhouses for receptionsbut I don't know their capacity.

I feel like there was one other "farm" but I can't recall the name, but I will let you know if I remember.

If you haven't looked at Triad Wedding Magazine yet, you should, ebcause they always have articles and ads for local venues.  Their website has a list of the places you can find their magazine, but I have seen them at Balance Day Spa and Macy's in the customer service area.  Hope that helps!
