So glad this week is over! I am in RI where we have worst rains in over 100 years and major flooding, including our newly refinished basement. Going to beach house today and hopefully not too much damage their. Thankfully sunny and warm today.

1) Are you having a  Bouquet/ Garter Toss? No

2) If you have pets....are you incorporating them in anyway? No, not at this time

3) Are you wearing a Veil, Tiara, both or neither? Wearing either a pearl or feather headband, no veil

4) How involved has/was is your FI in planning? Not too involved, basically I ran ideas by him and he was smart and said yes to everything I wanted.

2) If you have pets....are you incorporating them in anyway? We have two dogs and FI is going to wear cufflinks with their photos

3) Are you wearing a Veil, Tiara, both or neither? Veil for the ceremony (thanks to you ladies and your opinions and I couldn't be happier with it) and then switching to a headband for the reception 

4) How involved has/was is your FI in planning? Fairly, we discussed pretty much everything but mostly I suggested things and he yay or nayed, or didn't care. There was a few things that he absolutely wanted so we incorporated those.

Also..... Rants? Going crazy because people are TOO LAZY to RSVP a POSTCARD!!  Seriously - a check mark & toss in the mail!  Is is THAT hard???!!

Vents? Older sister is driving me CRAZY!  Tells me can't come to the wedding becuase can't afford it (ok understand).  But can't afford it becuase they're buying a $1000 bbq becuase her husband NEEDS & DESERVES one???!!!  AND she hopes this marriage will last becuase it would suck if it didn't (yeah thanks for the good wishes)!!

1) Are you having a  Bouquet/ Garter Toss?   No. I'm keeping my bouquet.   FI's brother's girlfriend asked me if I was tossing the bouquet, and I said no. Then she asked me if I would hand her my bouquet at the end of the wedding...and she was serious.  I think she really believes that if you get the bouquet, you will marry next!

2) If you have pets....are you incorporating them in anyway? No   I couldn't think of anything creative.

3) Are you wearing a Veil, Tiara, both or neither? Veil for ceremony, headband for the rest of the day.

4) How involved has/was is your FI in planning?  He was involved/interested in the picking of the venues, but that's it.  I heard him bragging on the phone last night how easy a Vegas wedding is b/c they do everything.  NO, I do everything!!  I guess this should be included as rant!!!

I so agree!  My first instinct was to do a RSVP online, and I should have gone with that.  We did postcards as well.   And most people called/emailed  to say they were/weren't coming.  I told FI we should have just put our phone number and email address on the postcard as RSVP options.

4) How involved has/was is your FI in planning? Meh. (That's about how involved he was. Looking back, I can tell now that he wishes he would have cared a bit more---but he couldn't, at the time, get past the whole "we're spending how much on one day?")

Rants: The house is a mess, and we have friends coming to visit tonight. I'm the only one home. Which means I have to clean. It always works out like this...damnit.

Great deal with my Reception. They upgraded us to a full buffet instead of just heavy apps for free! So awesome can't wait!!!
Also because FI works for UPS the place where we have gotten candy and stuff for the wedding they have given us a discount!

nope, though i did throw around the idea of running out on the strip after the reception and shouting for all the single ladies in the area to gather round and doing tossing the bouquet to them

Veil and a headpiece that is more of a headband.

Making decisions - not so much. But he has been VERY helpful in anything physical like assembling invitations. He did give a lot of input into the design of the invitations now that I think about it. other than that, he just says "Tell when and where and what to wear."

Rant/vent: One part of my family decided not to travel out to vegas with us because my cousin was preggers and due April 15 (one week after our wedding). I took a lot of crap for not accommodating their schedules. And the prego cousin said that she was even hoping to have the baby on my wedding day. Well, she actually gave birth March 18 and now I am hearing all the whining about how the rest of the family can't afford to book tix now or take vacation. I just want to scream, "Not my problem!" Plus, even if they could go, I can't change the numbers now (I've had enough fun with PH for a lifetime)

Kind of a good deal: we are using feather boas for our AHR centerpieces. They can be expensive ($8 - $10 each where I live) and we needed at least a dozen. I found the website haloheaven.com and got 12 for $26 after shipping and handling. It's actually a website for little beauty pageant contestants. 

And I'll add a Yay: We leave for Vegas on Monday!

Oh FI how I love him he's all hustle now but he hasn't been involed in to much venue and food have been about it.

Nope neither. I hate the idea of either, so no matter what kind of wedding I was having, I wouldn't include these.

We have a 11 mo Boxer named Rocco and a 4 mo Black Lab mix named Sosha. I'm going to take their pictures with a sign that says "Welcome", so they can be my guest book attendents

A veil. I am unsure if I will keep in on for the reception or take it off.

He would listen to all my plans and give an opinion when I asked haha. I did show him 4 pictures of bouquets I'm thinking of, and he picked the final bouquet. He also had a say in his tux

No rants thank god. This week my cousin offered to pay for something on my things to do list since she couldn't make it to Vegas, so now we are having a memorial candle, so that is cool. And my bachelorette weekend is next weekend!

Rant....don't be so insistent that you are coming for months and then send me a decline. grr!  I had to cut people I really wanted becuase of numbers and now I could have kept them. :-(

3) I ended up getting an elbow length veil with beading to match my dress for the ceremony and I'm changing to a birdcage veil for the reception. No tiara!!!!

I've done all the researching/planning and just ran things by him. I'm letting him worry about the Ipod playlists though for the reception. He tried to help me by spray painting our cake topper and accidentally BROKE it lol so I don't think I'll let him touch anything else haha

I am wearing my sister's ivory, fingertip length veil as well as my feather fascinator.

He pretty much just let me make the decisions, but I ran everything by him for the final decision.

Rants - Inlaws have still not booked their trip yet, and we are exactly 1 month away.  It is going to cost them a fortune and I could care less at this point!

I don't want to wear and mom is super annoyed. I like the cage veil but they don't seem to get along with the shape of my head. LOL!

We went on scouting trips together and when I talk about wedding stuff he just listens quietly with the occasional uh-huh. The only thing he cares about is cost and wearing Converse. Oh, I think he might also be a little gitty about the food tasting in a few weeks, but I think it's the "free" part that he is looking forward to.

No real rants/vents other than I am trying to get ot my weight goal and my body is hell bent on plateauing despite my efforts.

Groupon has a good deal on $80 in food for $40 today at Alize on top of the Palms, it's good until 10/5/10 I think ( a few days before our wedding, go figure).

1. We had both, it was so much fun. I had also announced my retirement of the bouquet catching, it was an inside joke that I held the record of catching the bouquets.

2. We really wanted Coco to be there, but most hotels (except Trump) don't allow pets, so I just had cufflings made with her pic.

3. I loved the idea of having a Mantilla style veil, and I'm happy that I did. I also had a feather fasinator.

4. DH was so awesome with the planning, he really had some great ideas or made my ideas 100x better, ie., ME: I like the idea of having a couple of digital frames where the guestbook area is, HIM: what about having mini digital frames hanging from the centerpieces. He did all the tech, photoshopping, and designing.

Since I can't have our dog Linus at the wedding, I was thinking of having pics of him with numbers as the table assignments (inspired by another knottie).  But I like the idea of the "guest book attendent" pic as well

Also, since he was "my" dog and now my fiance is marrying him as well... I think one of my wedding gifts to him will be a new dog tag for Linus with Linus' new last name.  Might seem a bit strange, but my fiance is crazy for Linus and I think this will be special to him.

I was going to borrow my sister's veil, but I went crazy at the bridal shop and spent way too much on a veil that matches my dress.  My sister also has a beautiful headpiece (more of a headband than tiara) that I may borrow if it isn't too much bling.

4) How involved has/was is your FI in planning?

He definitely had strong opinions on the ceremony and reception venues.  However, he is going to let me do the rest of the planning.... when I ask his opinion I sometimes don't get the answers I want, so I think I will stop asking   He pretty much just wants me to be happy anyway.
