my two cents - if she is planning on throwing one - let her go for it and if she asks for input give it, but if not, then let her treat you to a party planned by her!

I think that there are many people that may not have friends that are willing to plan something for them..It's great that your friend has thought of doing this for you... Absolutely let her do it, and as it was mentioned above...maybe youo can add a little of input

I would let her throw it BUT I would ask if you can have some input and help out a bit.  If that makes you feel more comfortable. I know I am very Type A and not a fan of having people do things for me. I know. I know. So, thats what I would probably do in your circumstances.
