Photo location suggestion??

Hello all,

As most of you know my other half and I are eloping to Vegas from Australia in just over 2 weeks . . . and I'm SO excited!!

We've got our photographer organised to take photo's after our ceremony but I was wondering if any of you would be willing to offer suggestions/recommendations as to where we should try and get photo's taken (other than the LV sign) . . .

Neither of us have even been to LV, so we would love to hear your suggestions . . .

Google found me Neon Graveyard, but sadly it appears to be closed for summer . .

A lot of the ladies go  to the Vegas sign, Fremont Street (from what I understand it has the old Vegas feel), and snap pics along the strip.  Some hotels seem to have restrictions on photography, but I'm sure your photographer will have some good ideas and know where to go or where not to.  Btw, who is your photographer?

Where is your ceremony?  There are so many beautiful spots along the strip to take photos. A lot of the hotels have fountains or gardens in front, so depending where you are staying or having your ceremony, there are a lot of options.

The Venetian and The Bellagio are pretty huge in not allowing outside photographers. I've heard that security won't even give a warning, they will just kick the photog out.

One of my must have photo locations is at the chandeliers in Planet Hollywood. So beautiful.

Agree about Planet Hollywood.  That is on my list.  I've seen some beautiful photos from other knotties there.  I assume it looks just as good in the daytime?  I heard they are in the lobby there.

I am pretty obsessed with making sure we get some photos done at Red Rock Canyon (not the casino). Its a pretty short drive, maybe 15 minutes from the strip and it might be nice to get some pictures and experience what else Vegas has to offer.

We did  our photo tour on Wednesday. Locations were: Bellagio, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, LV sign, Freemont St. Photos were taken both inside and outside hotels. We were lucky that we were able to get photos when Bellagio fountains were going off and also were able to sneak some photos in one of the casinos on Freemont St.

WOW!!!!  You'll have to let me know where you decided, my partner and I are heading to Vegas late December to elope 30th Dec in fact we've booked in for, we're getting married in front of the bellagio - hopefully when the fountains are going off:  This is what my photographer has organised

Shoot will start at 4:00 in front of Casears Palace.  I will meet you at Valet pickup.  Take a cab there.  We will have 30 minutes of shooting while we are walking over to Bellagio.  We will meet the minister at 4:30 in the center of Bellagio down in front of the fountains on the strip.  Ceremony from 4:30 to 5:00 tops.  Then walk from there to Paris and shoot there until 5:45.  Have a limo pick us up there at 5:45 in front of Registration.  From there we will go to Bellagio waterfall gardens for only 10 minutes.  Then from there straight to the Las Vegas sign and from there to NY, NY and shoot there for 30 minutes.  This is a very fast pased 3 hours but we can do this.

So excited - I can't wait let me know how you go, we're in Brisbane where abouts are you?  Just need to find videographer and celebrant if you have any suggestions - please let me know what u decide

    Have fun

Red Rock sounds really nice.  I didn't realize it was so close to the strip.  It would take you that long to get downtown.  Any other knotties go there for photos?  Would love to see how it looked.

Update on the Boneyard - they agreed to let me shoot there after first saying they were closing June 1 - August.  However, they sent me some photos of how it looks now in it's temporary location and I'm disppointed.  It just isn't the same.  I found this link to a recent photo shoot there and while I think they are great pics...I just can't get over the pavement.  You can't take beautiful long shots like before when it was in the field.  So I've decided not to do it.

Bummer!  I know how much you really wanted to have pictures there.  It's unfortunate that the construction is taking longer than anticipated and that the signs are in a parking lot rather than in the old space.  Just know that no matter where you end up taking pictures you will have a great time and will look fabulous!  You will be happy and married and glowing. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />
