Placecards on Glasses

I have never seen this before and I think I may try DIY. My idea is to make them up as poker chips with each person's name on them. I'm sure Maggianos sets the tables with glasses.

Ok, at first I perked right up because I thought you were talking about the project my FI and I are doing (we're etching wineglasses with each guest's name, our wedding date, and the Paris Vegas logo). But when I read your post a second time, I thought maybe I misunderstood. Are you making homemade poker chips or glasses...or both?! Sorry to be so thick, but I was really confused.

You may also check etsy. I've seen some pretty nice looking ones on there for cheap.

Cinegrad, here is an example:

A round card was attached to the rim of each glass; each guest‘s name and the table number were printed on one side, and the other was designed to look like an orange slice.

Love this idea! I've been trying to think of something cute for placecards. Might have to steal it... :-)
