Just got my bio to work... pictures of Caesars Juno Garden

Hi everyone,

I finally got a start on my planning bio.  I have added pictures that I took of Caesar's Juno Garden when I went on a scouting trip in January.  I have read that people have been wanting real photos.. so hopefully these will help a little bit.

It's so cool to finally see live pics of the garden instead of a computerized version. It looks narrow, but it looks like there's more privacy than the Venus Garden. Congrats on your wedding, you're so lucky to have the new garden.

    Hi Susan

Thanks for the pictures, they are great.  I've been looking for pictures for a few months as my fiance and I are getting married on 28 June in the Juno and I've only ever seen one picture of the Garden.

I'm excited to see someone else using he DiCarlo room!!  Thanks for the pics.  I wish we only had 16 guests as I'd love to have a sweetheart table - not sure who we should sit with.  Unfortunately, I'm thinking we'll end up with 20-25.  Hoping we don't feel too squished in the small room.

Congrats on the engagement!! Im planning a Caesars Palace wedding myslef so its great to finally see real pics!!! Cute wedding website too! I did notice that you booked a professional photag. Is there a way Caesars allows you to do that? And do you know anything about personal cameras like friends and family, are they allowed to take pics with their cameras? Thanks in advance and congrats again!

Thanks everyone... I'm glad that the pics have been helpful.

The garden didn't seem too narrow, but then again... I am only having 14 guests (plus the two of us), so I wasn't looking for a huge space.  I loved the Classico chapel for an inside space, but one negative is that it would make my wedding size just look too puny.  It is huge (for Vegas).

The Juno is completely private, while the Venus garden is open to people walking by, close to the pool and right in front of the Rao's patio (although there is greenery blocking most of the chapel.  If anyone is comparing the two garden chapels at Caesars, I would say that the Venus definitely has a more garden-y feel.  And the Juno could be classified as an elegant outdoor space.  The Venus has more lawn area, but that was a negative for me, because it is astroturf... which is practical and photographs well, but I thought the less of that, the better.
The Juno also has a bridal "dressing" area (a little building opposite the gazebo, at the foot of the aisle) and I don't know where they put you if you are using the Venus.

That being said, they are both very nice and it is very helpful to see them in person, if you can.  Many chapels look very different from their photos and may not be where you thought they would be in the resort.  For example, the MGM chapels themselves are nice, but from the website you would think that the entrance to the wedding chapel area is a grand, elegant space.  Well, if you back off a little bit from their photo on the website... you would see that it is in their mall area and right next to the CSI experience!  Just not the elegant vibe I was going for...

Melinda - The am happy we were able to get the DiCarlo room at Maggianos, and it is cool to know another bride is doing it!  I don't think Cassy would let you book the room if you would be squished, so I wouldn't worry about it.  Plus, one of those pics I put up shows 3 round tables and it doesn't look cramped.  I think I might go with the sweetheart table because my FI's parents are divorced, and we have some conservative and liberal guests...  might be better to divide the group a little.   And we can't chose one group over the other (drama!), so we would have to do the sweetheart, even though my FI thinks we will be lonely by ourselves.  I told him it would be romantic, not lonely... but I dont' think he is convinced :)

Junebug - As far as my photographer goes, I'm not sure what we are going to do during the ceremony.  With a $200 outside vendor fee, I can have my photographer take pictures of the ceremony (and get rid of the Caesars photographer).  Or, I might be able to have his sit as a guest and take photos without a flash.  But I haven't had official word from my coordinator on this.  Plus, it will be getting dark when I get married, so I don't know if any non-flash pictures will come out.  I am leaning towards paying the $200 fee and having  Todd (my photog) take the ceremony photos.  Then I won't even be tempted to buy the cd rights to the Caesars pics (which would be at least $200).

And honestly, when I looked at some youtube Caesars ceremonies, I was kind of mad at how the Caesars photographer seemed to get in the way of the ceremony... seemed really blase about the whole thing.  It might be worth the money just to get that photographer out of my way.  I want my FI to see me coming down the aisle... not the back of my photographer's head!

Have any other brides had trouble with the positioning of their photographers?  Maybe I am crazy and that is just how it is done?  When my sister got married the photographer just stayed off to the side... now, she doesn't have any close-ups, but I thing that would be better than having a camera in my face while saying my I-dos?

Sorry this is so long... I guess I am just really torn about the photographer thing :)

Thanks for the feedback on the Dicarlo room :)  I am also worried about the photographer thing.  I'm not doing Ceasars but it seems all the chapels are the same way.  I have been watching online at Chapel of Flowers (where I don't even have the option to use an outside photog for any fee) and I find the constant flash of the camera irrating.  Plus the photographer is everywhere on the video :(

Thanks for posting the pics of the Juno Garden!  Just one question -- what time of day were the photos taken?  I'm just wondering about the shadows.
