Meet & Greet Restaurants

I've heard Yolos is a good place to have meet & greets before the wedding day but I've heard mixed reviews on the Yolos restaurant. I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions for restaurants with a good atmostphere and reasonable pricing?

I ate there for a late lunch last December...and it was amazing. Right after we got off the plane we checked into P.H. and went there to eat...Margaritas were soooo good. But I had orginially hoped to have a wedding reception there because I was such a fan...but the guy at Ark was a total a-hole and there was NO WAY I was going to go with them. If you could work directly through the restaurant it would probably be better. There doesnt seem to be very good communication between Ark & Yolos. I know Encore reviewed them a couple days ago and was not very happy...maybe PM here for more details? HTH : )

You're a doll! Yeah I originally was going to try and have our reception there but I would get no call backs or replied emails a month later. I was over it and decided to have our reception else where. But for the meet and greet.. Im thinking it would be an okay place. I like the bright colors there. I might just stick with them for that night. Unless anyone has any other suggestions! Smile

Check my reviews but I wouldn't recommend them, we ate at Cheeseburger Las Vegas (miracle mile shops) and theyw ere great with us. They have a reasonable group package as well I think it's burgers and beer for $35...(they have others as well).

This.  Keith at Ark was kind of abrasive and short with me via email and then our reservation got all screwed up (lost).

I'm sure they are no strangers to large groups and parties; it seems very hit or miss with their service.

I had my heart set on Yolo's as well, but they don't seem to be able to handle a large group. I haven't seen a good review on them lately.
So I just booked Cheeseburger today, the fact that they have a private room doesn't hurt either.
Brian over there has been great and wanted to hash out details over the phone instead of in a million emails, and I respect that.
And although its not mentioned on their website, they do offer set menu options (choose 5 entrees) starting at $18 a person and that includes soft drinks.

I had a great experience with large group at Brio Tuscan Grill @ Town Square They have a private dining room, a lovely patio with fire pit, and a larger area they call "the colosseum" for larger groups. the group menu is awesome and reasonably priced, great selection, and you can add on hosted bar packages. I even dropped off some table decor and they took care of everything for me. They have group menu for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Mariana is the Banquet Mgr.

I am in the process of dealing with Yolos and it has been a right PITA. But I really want our dinner there so I will overlook how rude Keith at ARK has been. I am now dealing directly with Staci, the manager of Yolos, and she has been really helpful. Here are a few things she has advised me of over the last few days (anticipating a group of approx 25) --

    * We always offer our welcome margaritas to the larger groups for the price of $7.00 (normal price of margarita is $9).  We will prepare around half the amount of drinks as the amount of guests (so in your case approximately 15 margaritas)…our service staff will present these on trays upon arrival into the restaurant.  This really helps create a festive welcome and is a great way to “kick” off the beginning of dinner.  After the initial welcome margarita the rest of the beverages would be based on consumption as guests are ordering them.

    * For the larger groups we place 8-10 guests per table so most likely you will have 3 tables.  The food and the welcome margaritas will be rung on one check and then we can place one beverage check per table to assist in splitting the checks for you.

We are paying the deposit and have agreed with Staci that the money we pay will go towards paying for the guests welcome margaritas and the remainder will come off the food bill. I am still trying to find out whether our guests can order and pay for beverages directly at the bar to avoid complicated bills at the end of the meal. The food bill can only be paid on one card so I need to find a tactful way of asking everyone coming to bring cash.

Undecided If we have room in the budget I might just try and pay for their meals but as it was always just a 'come along if you like' thing I don't really want to.
