Checks! And post wedding question?!

So I have officially booked Francesca Lombardo and I am very excited but an even bigger check is I just booked our flights to Vegas from the UK! I was starting to go in to panic mode because the prices kept going up so today I found a pretty good dral and booked it!
Okay so on to my question. I wanted to do a hosted post wedding brunch the day after the wedding but it is on a Wednesday and there are no brumch options available!! i don't want to force everyone to breakfast at 9 am the day after the wedding. So I am thinking maybe a casual lunch that doesn`t break the bank...roughly 20 pp for 50 people? Is this possible? Would love it to be in the MGM-NYNY area and wasn`t that keen on a lunch buffet unless it was a good one,I have read tons of bad reviews. 

All suggestions are welcome...thanks for your help!!!

A fellow UK bride! Yay for booking your flights, that is a big check!

We are having our Wednesday post-wedding brunch at the Wynn buffet. It is about $22/head I think, and as far as buffets goes looks very swish! Ours will be at 11:30am.

It has 16 love action cooking stations which is pretty cool.

The MGM buffet it AWESOME!  My FI and I loved it when we ate there and they had many options for lunch.

Our post-wedding brunch was on a Saturday.  We went with the Orleans because it was only $7/pp.  They only do brunch on Sundays so it was technically lunchtime, but they still had some of the breakfast options out when we got there at 11am.  The food wasn't spectacular, but it was perfectly decent and everyone was more than happy to have a free meal.

@aerinpegadrak - were all of your guests staying at the Orleans or did you have to provide transport? I really liked Studio B bit it's so far away! I heard the Orleans do a shuttle to the strip....do you know from where? And is that only for hotel guests or could anybody use it? Sorry for all the questions!

The Carnival World Buffet at The Rio was AWESOME!  So many choices such good food.  The only thing is it's down by Caesar's Palace.  But I highly recommend it!  Here are the prices:

• Breakfast $15.99 plus tax, 8am-11am Mon-Fri,
• Lunch $17.99 plus tax, 11am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
• Dinner $24.99 plus tax, 3:30pm-10pm Nightly
• Saturday & Sunday Champagne Brunch $24.99 plus tax, 8am - 3:30pm

I agree. This is one of the best buffets in Vegas. How ever it is not on the strip, it's a few miles off. You can get a free shuttle there from any of the Harrahs (excuse me, "Caeser's Entertainment") properties. But it is super good and so much food and quite a variety.

None of them were at the Orleans.  Some of the guests who flew rented cars, several others drove to Vegas from SoCal, and we just carpooled.  Our ceremony and reception were in the same place, so we didn't provide any transportation around the Strip.  A page of our wedding website listed the various option for transportation, and people figured it out themselves.

Studio B is VERY far away.  From the Mandalay Bay it would be about a 20 minute cab ride/drive.  The Orleans and Rio aren't too bad as far as distance.

Also, look into the hotel "cafes."  They all seem to have them.  The food is probably cheaper than most buffets (not the orleans-obviously) and will offer lunch and breakfast options.  Having done cafes and buffets, I would recommend a cafe from a cost/value perspective.  The last time I was at a breakfast buffet, I did not eat any more than I would have if I had ordered the same plate at the cafe.

Anyway, it's just another option.  Oh, and the cafes tend to have shorter waits.

I know Studio B is far, but I thought I read somewhere that the M Resort has a free shuttle to & from the Strip? Don't know if that would be an option...

I have heard so much about how great this buffet is I cannot wait to try it!  We never made it there before.

My FI and I are vegas buffet snobs and have been to almost all of them.  The Sunday brunch buffet at the Wynn is the hands down best buffet on the strip- but also the most expensive.  Our wedding is on a Satra, and ware also hosting a Sunday brunch the day after for our family- at the Wynn!

The Orleans has a free shuttle from Bill's Gambling Hall it comes every 15 mins.

My Fi went to the Rio buffet on Friday for breakfast and said it was just meh.  I told him about this post and we both agreed that a cafe is probably both cheaper and better.  However, if the novelty of a ginormous buffet is part of the draw then a cafe is probably out.

Rio buffet is beyond amazing!!! We make it a point to go there every sinlge time we go to  Vegas. I am not big on breakfast food but their lunch/ dinner buffet is awesooommmme.

Thanks everyone for all of your help! I just found out today that my dad is giving us 5k towards the wedding expenses!!!! He mentioned helping out in the past but never said how much, this has made my month! Gives us a little more breathing room.
