Scouting Trip

For those of you who have done your scouting trips, who did you bring with you?  FI and I plan to go this summer, but I am debating whether or not I want to invite a few friends to go with us.  Although I would let them know that he and I have certain obligations while we are there, I think I may feel bad if we are running off and doing our own thing a lot of the time.  On the other hand, my FI has never been to Vegas, so it may be more fun for him if we had some other people with us?

When we did our scouting trip last summer just FI and I went. Since that was the purpose of our trip we didn't really ask anyone to come with us.  But we had a blast and got to visit most of our venues and meet a few vendors.

But if he's never been and you want to invite some friends to hang out with, that wouldn't be bad either. Just let them know you have a few appointments to take care of.  They should be able to entertain themselves while you are out scouting.

Personally if it were FI's first time to Vegas, I'd probably want it to just be the two of us.  I'm sure you'll be busy with scouting and I think it might be too much hassle to try and plan things with a group along with fitting all the scouting stuff in.

Thank you for the advice.  My intention was that it was going to be just the two of us, but then a friend asked if we were inviting others to come out with us, and I hadn't really thought about it.

My FI and I did our scouting on a trip that we were already booked for before we got engaged, so it ended up being her and FMIL doing about half the visits and her and I doing the rest.  For the finalists, if I hadn't seen it, we made a trip there so I could, then we figured out where we wanted to have it.  I think too many people can get messy, and there's a lot of walking and cab rides involved, so I'd say 4 or less.
