Invitation Wording... Please HELP!!

I need to desperately order my wedding invitations ASAP. But I am a little torn on the wording. We are hosting the event ourselves so I am ok with the language I have chosen but am concerned with the wording for the reception. We have chosen to do the folio wedding invitation on mygasby. We have not decided if we are going to do a cocktail reception or a dinner, it mostly depends on how many guests RSVP due to the size of the room. We are leaning towards dinner but don’t want to confuse our guests. The reception is at Maggiano’s. Listed below is that I was leaning towards but please let me know what you girls think and/ or what your invitations said:

THE HONOUR OF YOUR PRESENCE
IS
REQUESTED AT THE MARRIAGE OF
Brittney Lynn _______________
AND
Alex Terrell _______________
ON THURSDAY, THE ______ OF JUNE
TWO THOUSAND AND ELEVEN
AT Seven O'CLOCK
JUNO GARDEN
CAESARS PALACE
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Please join us at Maggiano’s Little Italy Immediately following the ceremony

Also I am torn on what to say for the Travel Information card that will be included in the folio invitation.
I was thinking of the below two options, please let me know what you all think or if you would say anything different.
  Option 1:

We have opted to stay at The Mirage Resort and Casino.
We would love it if our guests decided to stay there as well, however we know that Las Vegas offers several different hotels that may better suit you.

The Mirage is located at:
3400 South Las Vegas Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89109
(702) 791-7111
More information and wedding details can be found on our wedding website at: http://www.mywedding.com/alexbrittney

Option 2:

We will be staying at The Mirage Resort and Casino

The Mirage is located at:
3400 South Las Vegas Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89109
(702) 791-7111

For more information including accommodations, local activities, an itinerary, and wedding details please visit our wedding website at: http://

Thanks in advance for all you input!!!

On our STD, we put “we have reserved a block of rooms for our guests at the Vdara, but feel free to stay where you wish”And then listed the website information. I would go with option 2 for the card in your case, and maybe omit the hotel address and just list your wedding website address.

Have you reserved a block of rooms for you guests? If you really want to encourage them to stay there you should look into that so they have incentive to book there, but I would include wording that let’s them know that you are staying they, but they are free to stay where they wish.

i believe it's "two thousand eleven" - no "and"

i agree with agerish as far as how to mention the reception on the actual invite.

and, on the travel card, i would say something like "the bride and groom will be staying at The Mirage. For information regarding accomodations, travel, etc, please visit out website at www.ourweddingsite.com

i know its traditional to list our full addresses, but in my opinion thats not necessary in Vegas (if you're getting married on the strip). no one uses addresses - you get in a cab and say "we're going to the Mirage". so that could free up some space on the cards if you need it. but if you don't need the room, then ignore my advice.

    This! Perfect!

    Also, I would just put:

    Reception to Follow
    Maggiano's Little Italy

I've heard, from various sources, that honour of your presence is normally only used for church ceremonies while pleasure of your company is for non-church. I didn't care either way but my FI wanted it to be the way etiquitte would have it so we went with pleasure of your company since we're not having it in a church. Not sure if you care.

And +1 on the no "and" in two thousand eleven.

The "and" in the year appears to be purely preference from everything I can tell. I left it out because I thought two thousAND AND ten looked strange.

We also skipped addresses because pretty much everything in Vegas is landmarks. We included a single insert (pics in planning bio) that directed people to our website. There, we included information about accommodations, getting around, the itinerary for the weekend, FAQs, the whole shebang.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
