Well my wedding wasn't without drama.. DH's friend was supposed to officiate the wedding and I downloaded and mailed him all the stuff he needed and followed up several times and gave him his deadlines and all the while saying it was all taken care of and in the end he shows up at 5pm on Friday night at our BBQ to tell DH that he hadn't had time to take care of it yet... sadly this send DH into a stressball the rest of the weekend. Thankfully though his mom has a friend who we were originally going to use that came through for us and he was better than we could have imagined. And showed up in his dress whites which looked so good with DH's and BM's Dress blues. And in the end everything turned out well
reviews aren't necessarily in order but I think I got all the important ones
Venue: Wildhorse Golf Course A+
course was gorgeous and Elena the coordinator was awesome!! So responsive and helpful, she was probably my favorite part of all this
Flowers: Springtime Floral - A
Flowers were gorgeous, we had boutineers for the guys, corsages for the moms and bouquets for me and my girls. I had wanted purple in the bouquets that didn't make it in there but they were still gorgeous. We went with them on a recommendation from our coordinator, and they ended up being the cheapest out of all the ones I got quotes from too which was nice. Very easy to work with.
Photography - Digs Studio - Asha Maura
Jury's still out on this one. I know she takes gorgeous photos so I'm hoping that what she took looks fabulous and my worries are unfounded. I felt she could have shot more especially during the reception and when we were doing shots with FI and I after the ceremony I had a gorgeous train that she never tried to lay out pretty. and she was 15 minutes late.. I was soo peeved about that.. but if the photos come out good then I'll be ok.
DJ - Joseph Blades - B
I hate to give him a B because he's a friend of mine, but he didn't really keep to what I asked for and he was having trouble keeping people on the dance floor and really my biggest issue was it was too loud, but while my work people where being bums, I still had a good time with my old friends and family so I'd say a B or B+
Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott in Green Valley/ Henderson A
as far as I know everyone was quite happy with the location. It was more expensive then many hotels around town so not everyone stayed here but it was so close to all our events that the people who did stay there really liked it.
Chippendales for the Bachelorette Party - A
My girls had fun, and it's always hilarious I think...
Voodoo Lounge for the rest of the bachelorette Party
We used to come here after work so it was part, being like old times and part knowing it wouldn't be busy so we could get right in for free and now have to deal with the madness and drama of the bigger clubs. We had a blast. We danced all night outside. There were plenty of people but we could dance comfortably without getting beat up like sometimes happens on packed dance floors. There were of course plenty of ridiculous guys who we had to get rid of but that happens anywhere. Music was fabulous too, good mix of 80s/90s and current stuff and no house music.
Rehearsal Dinner - Viva Michoacan B+
they were quite disorganized to begin, with since I guess the manager had been out all week due to family emergency, but came through in the end. Food was good and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. We had the private room in the back and I had them send in the mariachi band too for a bit which I think everyone enjoyed.
edit: Forgot my makeup & hair artist:Megan in the 702 A+++++
Megan was awesome to work with and after my personal hairstylist who I've had since moving to vegas when MIA, Megan found me a hairstylist with 2 weeks to go. We had Karen for hair and Sona for makeup. Both were awesome. They did my mom, mother inlaw, and hair only for my sister in law. Definitely reccommend them
