reception credit??

Hi all!!

After months of lurking around and collecting much helpful ideas/information (thank you!)  I'm finally ready to start getting the ball rolling...

I was wondering however what exactly a "credit" from reception venues meant.  I had seen ppl talk about having credit towards their minimums for using certain vendors.

I'm assuming/hoping it means - if I use, for example, the venue's prefered cake vendor & spend $500, it would get deducted from my venue minimum??  Please let me know if that's correct, and if so, do all venues offer this?

Thanks again!

    This is correct.
No not all venues offer this, but you can aways ask. Many venues tend to be pretty floexible on their min and what counts.

Thanks!  I was waivering between Joe's & Maggiano's - well Joe's min was way too high for me and I was told that they didn't give credit while Maggiano's does... and that's a great deal.
