Suggestions for rehearsal dinner in MB

We bailed on our Margaritaville rehearsal dinner due to the cost to rent the 2nd floor ($8000 minimum spend that doesn't include alcohol), so having our 40 or so person rehearsal dinner would have ended up being $15k+ when you factor in booze and transporation for everyone from MB.  So, with that in mind, does anyone have suggestions for restaurants within MB that would be suitable?  I haven't eaten in any restaurant there so I don't know the place very well.

Just needs to hold 40 ppl and have booze lol, oh, and no smoking, meaning not open air to the casino like house of blues since some of our rehearsal dinner guests are pregnant and we don't want to have that be an issue.

Did you look into the private room at House of Blues? I think that one has a $3,500 room min that incld. booze and it has it's own bar in that area.

ETA: Humm....But not sure if it's closed off like you want? So maybe not an option...

In-suite?  I thought you mentioned that you already had a suite at MB, but I could be misremembering.  Their restaurants are mainly grouped together and most of them are away from the casino floor, you can see it on the property map:

This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I had a great time working with Border Grill when I was looking at going with them for the reception. The menu sounds delicious and the coordinator was so nice and helpful. It was too expensive for a 3-4 hour reception, but the minimums were reasonable. For example, my quote was $6700 minimum for 100 people on a Saturday night.

I thought about that, I've got the media suite for the nights leading up to the wedding but I didn't want to have to put that much effort into it with catering, chairs, bringing people up since I think that floor needs a key card from the elevator, etc.  I just want to have some drinks, hang out with family and sign the bill, no stress lol.

I think that sounds great, we only need to fit 40 people in, on a Friday, and the menu looks good; I'm going to check that out.

I don't think you need a card to get up to the Media Suite. Our Vista suite was in the penthouse, and you still didn't need a card.

We really enjoyed our time at Red Square (in MB).  The food is AMAZING and the drinks and service are even better!
I'm not sure how private it would be, but the space is really nice and it definitely has a fun atmosphere.

FYI - No card needed to get up to the Media and Vista, at least during my scouting trip there wasn't.  They just gave me room keys and let me go up there by myself.

If you do go the In-Suite route, I highly recommend the L Suite as you know, I'm kinda in love with it:)  And it has like 29 seating spaces I think.

Maybe check out some of the restuarants in TheHotel.  No clue about them, but some could be an option.

Border Grill sounds good though!  Good luck!

We are doing ours at Lupo. Its a private room that fits 40. I think the food and beverage minimum at $4,000. The menu looked good. Its Wolf Gang and Puck so the food is definitely tasty. I have not eaten there in years, but the fact that I can say that because its been open for years is a good sign!

I would definitely email group dining at MB.  Tell them what you want, how many people, and your budget and they will be able to tell you about all of your options.  We did everything through Kathryn and she was beyond helpful.  PM me if you'd like Kathryn's email.
