Friend's bachelorette party in vegas - REVIEWS!

I just came back from Vegas this past weekend from my friend's bachelorette party. There were 9 of us girls and a little bit of a hassle to coordinate everything but still so much fun. I wanted to give some reviews of the places we went in case anyone will be going to these places

  Venetian Hotel - A
I loved this hotel and our suite. Our suite had 2 queen beds with a living room, pullout couch, 2 flat screen TVs (that we never ended up watching), a marble bathroom, vanity, roman tub and shower. The check-in and check-out lines were usually really long waits but it was fun to hang out in the lobby and people watch. The customer service was great. One girl forgot her razor and called downstairs and they brought up an entire shave kit for her. Another girl needed bandaids and they brought those up right away. The food from room service was really good (We had shepards pie), wasn't sure if it tasted good because we were drunk but nevertheless yummy! Also, I had never gambled before and one of the ladies from the casino helped me obtain a grazie card and showed me where the electronic roulette and blackjack games were.

Bouchon Restaurant at the Venetian - C
I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance was nice and our waiter was great. They do not split checks here but that is like most vegas restaurants. The french onion soup didn't have much flavor and no sweetness whatsoever. The cheese on top of the soup saved it somewhat, it was thick and melted. I got gnocchi as my main course. It was okay, but I've had better at places where it's much cheaper. And it was dry, it needed more sauce or a different type of sauce. I asked for a side of sauce and they brought out this buttery white sauce that was delicious but it came too late, I was already full. 3 of us ordered the gnocchi and all of us had the same thoughts. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their meals.

Mon Ami Gabi - D
This restaurant is located in front of the Paris Hotel. We didn't make reservations. We went there for lunch and there was no wait. We were seated immediately. The waiteress was neither friendly or rude. I only ate here because of the reviews on here and from yelp. I was very disappointed with the food. I ordered a seafood crepe. The crepe only had a small amount of peas and hardly any sauce inside of it. There were a few pieces of scallops and shrimp next to the crepe. The scallops were good, the shrimp didn't taste fresh. There was no seafood inside my crepe. So i had my 2 pieces of scallops and didn't eat the rest. Waste of money and food. My friends got 2 different kinds of quiche. Both would of been good if there wasn't so much salt in them. The quiches were inedible because they were so salty. We had everyone at out table try it and they all agreed it was way too salty. So hose also got thrown out. The french onion soup was so sweet that no one would eat it (The total opposite of Bouchon's soup). Then when our check came, they charged us for extra food we did not order so they had to fix it. The waitress said she accidently brought us another table's check. We pretty much left hungry and paid for food we didn't eat. Will never be going back here again.

Wynn Buffett - A-
We went here for brunch. There was so much variety it  was   hard not to find something that you didn't like. The butternut squash risotto was so good I kept getting up for more. The pad thai was good and spicy. There was a big assortment of desserts that looked fancy but they were just ok. There was a brunch special, for an extra $10 you get unlimited mimosa and blood marys. I think some of my friends stayed for a few hours just to drink.

Stratta - C
This restaurant is at the Wynn hotel.  Went here for their late-night menu, I think it was around 1am. I would of given this place an F for the calamari but the warm goat cheese salad made up for it. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was the worst calamari I've ever had. The squid was so rubbery I would hardly chew it. The calamari hardly had any flavor and the sauce didn't have flavor either. And at around $12 it was not worth it. I wouldn't have eaten that stuff if I was paid. My friend got the warm goat cheese salad and it was so good, I didn't want to stop eating it. The salad had a perfect blend of dressing. the goat cheese was warm and on top of the salad, so good! I would go back and only get that.

Tableau - B-
Another Wynn restaurant. This place was very cute. Went here for breakfast or was it brunch? I got the lobster eggs benedict. I've had better benedict, it was ok. The lobster was a little chewy but still good. I loved the homemade jam. The omelette was good with onions and cheese. The menu is small and everything is expensive.

Thunder from Down Under - B+
I didn't want to go see a bunch of guys dancing around on stage but it was actually very entertaining. They were really good dancers and kept my attention the whole time. For $63 I expected a little more but it was still good. And the eye candy doesn't hurt either ;)

Pole Fitness Studio - A
We did the Tao Package and it was so much fun. We had a private room with the 9 of us and the instructor. You can tell the intructor really loves her job. We got to learn pole dancing moves and a choreographed lap dance. The instructor encouraged  us to go next door and buy some alcohol. During breaks she kept telling us to go drink (alcohol) and  even took pictures of us pole dancing. The studio is located in a small strip mall behind the Palms Hotel. The bride to be got a tank top that said "I love pole dancing". Our package also included entrance into Tao club and Tao Beach Party. I think the total cost per person was $40? Oh I forgot to mention, it also includes a limo ride to Sapphire Strip club and free entrance but we didn't have time to go.

Southwest Airlines - A
I think  almost everyone in our group flew southwest. The open seating is a little crazy since this is my first time flying with them but I got window seats both times. And the seats are so much more comfortable than other airlines I've flown with. Our stewardess must of been a comedian because she was so funny and had the entire plane laughing.

Haze nightclub at Aria - B+
We got to go to this club for free and get free drinks because I ran into a promoter in the Venetian lobby. The club had good hiphop music  but I wanted more of a mix of hiphop and techno/house music. The dance floor was so packed there was no room to move, so we stood near the bar and made our own dance area. The crowd had good looking people. Fun overall. Expect to pay $8 for water. I asked for tap water and the bartender said she only sells it and can't give it on tap! Crazy! Never heard of this before.

Tao club at Venetian - C
Ok music. The hip hop was all the slow stuff you couldn't really dance too. Didn't like the crowd. Not many good looking people. Luckily we didn't have to wait in the line that people were waiting 2 hours in. We waited  like 5 minutes, walked around, wasn't feeling it, and walked out. One of the boucners helped me find the exit and was very nice. The had a mini show going on with this lady hanging off of a rope attached to the ceiling. That part was cool.

Tao Beach Party - A
Best music, best crowd in Vegas. We got free drinks for signing up on an email list. We found a nice cabana like area with shade. We got in free because of the pole dancing class. The mojitos and lemograss tea drink were delicious. We got pitchers of each. We started a volleyball game in the side pool with the blow-up balls and a bunch of people came in to join us. I want to go back!

Sugar Factory - A+
I'm a dessert fanatic and this place hit the spot. And it was open around 2am when I was craving my sweets. This place is so colorful and bright, it just draws you in. I had the Make-a-wish icecream sundae, It was probably the most expensive ice cream I've ever had (around $11?) but so good. Totally worth it. I don't mind paying when it's actually good. I went back right before my flight left for home and got the white chocolate gelato, also good.

Sorry didn't mean to offend you guys. When I go out I like some eye candy, especially for a bachelorette party. If you don't care about that sort of thing, you would enjoy Tao if you like the slower hiphop music.

    Thanks for the reviews!

I might have to go to the Wynn for the AYCD mimosas! Is that everyday at brunch?

BTW, I know what you mean about wanting some eye candy at a bachelorette weekend.

I think if you had originally said, "There wasn't much eye candy", that would have been less offensive. IMHO anyway  :)

    Thanks for the reviews!

    ebonyivory,
thank you for your opinion. I need to be more careful wording things on here. Smetimes when your writing a long post, some things may not sound too PC after you go back and read it.

    CamilleJon,
I think the AYCD mimosas is only during the weekends for brunch. Brunch is 31.95 plus tax and then an extra $10 for the AYCD. Breakfast is $20 but we waited in line so long on Saturday that it turned into brunch.

And yes, eye candy always makes the night a little better ;)
