Hi - I saw your post before on paying $60 for Fit for a Bride.  What is that price for, is it for the pick up and drop of off your dress and the steaming?  Assuming with that March special....?

When Debi sent me the link to fill out, the form shows $100 for silk based couture and $70 for non-couture.  Just wondering where the $60 amount is from?  May be a mute point anyways because I think my dress is considered couture (need to check on that).

TIA!

the $60 is just the pick-up/delivery fee, but it includes all the dresses we are having her steam.  Sorry for the confusion I'll make a change to that :)

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification, I'm like I only want to pay $60 for it to be steamed/pressed too:) Can't you use the special though so you don't have to pay the pick-up delivery fees, or did you already book before the special came out...?

Also, I know you are carrying your dress on the plane, do you know if that's considered your carryon? I wouldn't think so and I brought a BM dress on the plane once before but I can't remember if that was considered my carryon or not...

I booked before the special came out, but her prices are so reasonable compared to what the hotels conceirge charge that we can get ALL our dresses steamed by Debi for what it would cost for 1 dress alone through the hotel!

Technically the garment bag would be considered a carry on, but unless the flight is completely full or there's not space in the overhead bins, they usually don't give you too hard of time about having a smaller extra carryon.

Even if I can't hang it in the pilots closet or drape it over an empty seat after take off, I'm not worried about shoving it in the overhead bin if I have too.  That's probably how it showed up at the bridal salon anyways, and I'm confident Debi can work her steaming magic on it.

I'll have to check with Delta to see what their policy is on the garmet bag and carryon, I'll be annoyed if they don't let me have both of course:)

When browsing through bios on the Knottie list I know I saw one bride who used Mandalay Bay Conceirge or whoever does the steaming/pressing there, and she raved about how they did and it was only $40.  Makes me tempted due to the price, however, I'd be more comfortable with Debi doing it.  Even though she told me today my dress is probably considered couture cause it's a silk blend, boo.  $100 just seems so much to me to press/steam a dress.  But for peace of mind I'll probably just go with her.

I hear you on shoving it in an overhead bin, we're getting them steamed anyways so it should be fine up there.

    Thanks for the info!

    no prob.

Yeah even if it would save $$ to steam the gown somwhere else the peace of mind Debi gives me is priceless.  Her and Pam have take a great deal of stress off of me because they both come so highly recommended.

Side Note: I looked at SilverStone too (my photog works with them) but we decided an outdoor or off strip ceremony wasn't for us.  Hope it works out for you tho it looks beautiful and I love the desert like background.

Ok that is the weirdest thing, my screen shows a different picture and profile name for me.  TysWifetobe, wait yours shows rodeo417 on one of your posts, ok random.  TK must be f'd up.

Thanks on Silverstone, yeah I can't wait to get married there, definitely what I envisioned, it's like something we'd do back home which makes me happy:)

I hear you on the peace of mind with Debi and Pam, hands down!
