My friend had a candy station at her reception...lots of colorful candy artfully displayed in glass jars of all sizes. You could even do a theme to match your wedding colors. Then there were little takeout boxes for everyone to fill up and take home with them. She ordered labels with their names and date on it to stick on the boxes. It was super cute, after all everyone wants a snack after all the dancing. :)

i originally was going to do chocolate covered pretzels i found on etsy.com...the lady can make them match your wedding colors. It was alittle more than i wanted to spend but i still might get a few. I was also going to put a sign that said something like "thanks for coming to watch us tie the knot".

We're ordering these personalized Vegas chocolate bars.  I'm not crafty so I love that I don't have to do anything else to them and who doesn't like chocolate?!

I'm debating the same thing, so far I'm considering Godiva chocolates, homemade marshmallows from an Etsy seller or typical Puerto Rican sweets.

We bought small glass jars at Party City and filled them with M&Ms that were in our wedding colors.  There's a picture of them in my planning bio.

I thought of having little matchbooks wrapped in pretty paper with their names on them- to double as place cards.

Not to hijack this thread, but do you think people would be upset if I didn't do favors?

I've wondered this myself which is why I'm looking towards edible so that it can be a late night snack after partying when guests get back to their room.

We're not doing favors.  So far, the favors at weddings I've been to have been a waste - I either forgot to take it home or it was something that I would never use.  If you do them, I think edible is definitely the way to go.  We're having a photobooth so that sort of replaces favors since everyone has fun pictures to take home with them.

We did personalized M&Ms in our wedding colors and put them in some sheer organza bags (also in our wedding colors).  Everyone took one and seemed to like it.  The chocoholic in me was secretly hoping that not all would be taken but even the extras were gone by the end of the night. :)

We are doing two edible favors that we'll put in our OOT bags.  One will be knot pretzels that are dipped in caramel and white and milk chocolate, wrapped in cellophane, tied with a ribbon and a favor tag on it that says "Jared and Sara tied the Knot in Las Vegas" with the date maybe.  The other we are doing is giant oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies from Great Harvest Bread company, they are fantastic.  Then we are doing a personalized CD, because most of our friends like the same music we do and they will be cheap to do.

I think if you do favors edible is the way to go though, JMO.  Happy Planning!

I personal don't like favours...but that said we are doing poker chips for the guests to have a gamble!  We ae getting them for the casino where we ae having our reception. The only reason I decided to do them was because evryone is coming so far to celebrate with us.

Ok, so I'll restate my original comment by saying edible favors or poker chips (meaning ones with monetary value) are the way to go.  If we didn't have such a large guest list I'd totally go this route!
