Groomsmen Attire? I'm going CRAZY!

I can't decide on if I want khaki or black tuxes!

My girl's dresses are fairly casual and black with khaki underlay (the top of the dress is a lacy material with kahki underneath) and they're going to be in cute black kitten-heeled flip flops. (pics of girls' dresses in planning bio)

It'll be mid June so it'll be quite warm and I'm thinking khaki would be cooler for the guys - but do you think that'd be TOO casual? I only really seem to see khaki in beach weddings/backyard weddings. And then the issues of shoes would come up - black dress shoes wouldn't look that good - unless they maybe had black shirts?

One of my girl's suggested the guys all wear all-white runners but 1 - I don't like that idea and 2 - Then I'd have to ask them all to buy runners (it just wouldn't be in our budget) and that's not fair.

What do you guys think? Black or Khaki? What are you all doing?

This is the last big "check" that I need.

What do the men in the party and your FI think?  My FI is working out his and his guys' attire.  As long as they are wearing pants (and a shirt), I don't care.

I vote tux; I like dressing up all the way if I'm going to be wearing something other than my standard shorts and flip flops.

Khaki and black together, eh I'm not crazy about that.  I think the guys will be hot regardless of what color tux they're wearing.  there's no getting around that other than staying in AC as much as you can or them removing their jackets when they can.

Are you going for a more casual or formal wedding? IMO khaki is more causal, but is perfectly fine for a non-backyard or beach wedding.  Especially with a tie and/or vest, khaki tuxes can still look somewhat formal.  But straight up black classic tux is a bit more formal I think.

I vote black.  But again, ask the guys...they're wearing it.

I asked the guys and they're no help  - "Whatever you think is best"

I emailed Tuxedo Junction with a picture of the girl's dresses and explained my dilemma. They think the kahki tuxes, with an off white shirt, black tie and black pocket fold, with black dress shoes, would be good.

Then the bouts will be a white flower tied in black ribbon - maybe a cala lillie?

So I'm just going to go with that and hope it looks good! I would assume TJ would know what looks good since it's what they do all day.

    I'm going with khaki, haha.

It'll look like this (not the groom's tux, but the groomsmen)

    <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_i4fg5vnRNaU/TGwToyceB3I/AAAAAAAABBs/k4NepIXKVr8/s1600/khaki+suit.jpg" rel='nofollow'>http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_i4fg5vnRNaU/TGwToyceB3I/AAAAAAAABBs/k4NepIXKVr8/s1600/khaki+suit.jpg</a>

But with black ties, a black pocket fold, black shoes. White cala lilli bout tied in black ribbon.

No mine are from Great Glam, they're fairly inexpensive. To be honest I'm not 100% crazy about them but half my bridal party pretty much refused to pay for their own dresses because they were "already paying to go down to Vegas" so I had to buy all the dresses and as a result, had to get something cheaper.

I can understand some people are just barely affording to go down but these are people that shop all the time, go out for dinners, etc. So it wasn't a matter of not being able to afford it - it was just a matter of choosing not to.

I'll remember that when they get married.

I've had so much drama and to be honest this wedding planning has just NOT been fun. I feel like every time I turn around, I cater to everyone's needs.

Today one of my bridesmaids told me good luck getting her boyfriend to wear dress shoes. I told him he'll have to suck it up. I'm done making everyone happy!

(Sorry, that turned in to a bit of a rant)

I was really weary about the khaki colored tux, but this pic does make it look nice. I looked quickly at your bio and you have a fabulous dress so it's nice your still dressing up the suits with ties, pocket folds and shoes.

You BM dresses are similar to mine. My BM's got their dresses from Le Chateau - just a mall type store for less than $60 (super on sale). But I picked black suits for my GM becuause all 3 aready had one. I bought the ties for them so they match.

I vote khaki... but I'm biased since that's what I'm doing. (My FI looks smokin hot in his khaki suit, plus he wore a light brown linen suit for our first date so it's kind of sentimental too. :-)

Plus if its shoes you're worried about... if a place rents khaki tuxes/suits, they usually rent those tux dress shoes in brown too. So you can play around with it and see how that works with your overall look for the BP.
