Vista Suite brides/ general MB brides question...

Several questions:

-How far in advance can you book the Vista Suite?  Any suggestions for making sure you get it?  (We want it for our "Meet & Greet" event-- in lieu of a rehearsal dinner-- for the night before the wedding)

--How far in advance did you talk to your WC about getting a room block discount?  Also, my WC had mentioned that they give a "bridal suite" discount as well-- anyone know what this entails?

Thanks!

We booked the Vista Suite through our WC and I think it was 10 months out??  We knew that we wanted it for multiple reasons (M&G, reception, prep area for BMs, etc.) so we booked early.

The room block we actually did through group reservations and not our WC.  I think we did that 9 months out...

I think we booked 10 months out.  My understanding is that they open up the entire month at 10 months, so for an April 23 wedding, we called June 1st and had no trouble getting it.

We weren't going through a chapel, so we weren't able to get a discounted room block.  We provided information for the guests to stay wherever they wanted.  we had one couple at MB, the plurality of guests at Excalibur, and the rest scattered all over the city.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

We're doing everything pretty quickly (5 month engagement) and by the time we decided on the Vista Suite, they were already booked.  I keep checking regularly to see if any open up.  Unless anything changes, we have booked the Media Suite instead.

Have all MB In-Suite brides used a WC?  I've been doing everything solo so far, but now trying to figure out the value of doing so for our small group of 10.

Have your wedding coordinator book your room for you.  We stayed at THE Hotel for $99 per night for 5 days.  Its worth it.  We didn't do a room block, gave guests the option of booking themselves (most could find a good deal) or booking through THE Travel Company (service was free to us since they had just started).

We suggested MB or THE Hotel to our guests and Luxor as a more budget friendly option.
