Where are my insuite reception ladies?

For your receptions did you have the things you wanted done (speeches, cut the cake, 1st dance) planned out or did you just wing it?

Also, what times were your weddings and how long did people stay in the suite?

After our 7:15 ceremony, my fi and I are going to go take pictures, so we will not get back to the room til 8:30ish. Should we take time to mingle first or walk in dance, cut the cake, do speeches, then relax? I also want to do family pictures with Todd since all the prints will be included, and I won't have to throw more money at MB/cashman. Getting nervous I can't get everything done :)

Thanks ladies in advance!

We winged it! lol....But to be honest if you can plan and have some one kinda announce stuff it will help keep it moving along. But we came in mingled, relaxed and cut the cut about an hour in....We did not do the formal shot's because everyone was already mingling so I am sure we have some fun shots :) Everyone was outta the room by around 11:00pm and we had a 6:28pm (lol) ceremony so everyone was up in the room around 7:15 and we took a few pic's and were in the room by 8:00. HTH :)

Ceremony (plus Cashman pics) 3-4 pm
    Strip Tour 4-6 pm
Food & Cake delivered at 5:30-5:45 pm
Guests (and us) arrive in suite 6 pm
--everyone gets a drink, food warms up, pictures w/ guests
    Around 6:30 pm
    --MOH, BM, FOTB speeches
    --prayer
    --EAT
About 7:15 pm (oh gosh, I really don't know what time it really was)

    --DH & I first dance

    --Father/Daughter & Mother/Son joint dance
    --Rest of music

All the sudden it was midnight and the remaining guests left. We originally planned on hitting the Strip around 11 pm, but that never happened!

We did the ceremony in-suite at around 7:30.  We did a couple of formal shots outside, then came in and served food.  We just sort of winged the toasts, and had to push up the cake cutting because the photographer had to leave.  Most of the guests left shortly after the bartender at 10:00, but a couple of people stayed around to chat and help clean up until probably about 11:30.  That was actually one of my favorite moments: we took bets on how many bobby pins were in my hairdo as I started to take it down.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

So this is the timeline in my head:

    Ceremony downstairs 7:15
Guests go upstairs/ food arrives 8:00
    food is served 8:30
Bride & Groom arrives at 9:00
    mingle & take pictures
    First dance & father/daughter/mother/son dance 9:30
    cut the cake 9:45
    toasts 10:00pm

I'm hoping ppl will hang to at least midnight!

    sound doable?

Thanks Stinker. I am not sure why the timeline/itinerary is making me the most stressed! Everyone says time flies and there are so many things I want to do plus I want to enjoy myself.

I should just relax bc no matter how scheduled I am, time will fly!

Haha! D....All of the things that I was stressed about, tried to make sure happened correctly, all went out the door once the day began! The ONLY thing I think happened on time was Glamsquad showing up! and Masterpiece Cuisine...LOL :)
