Wedding Party Gifts???

Hi,

So I am in the process of picking out WP gifts.

For the Groomsmen, FI wants to do personalized flasks.  What I want to know is that enough or should we add something else?

What did everyone else do?

Also for BP gifts was going to do earrings, pics in my bio, a purse holder and personalized accessory bags.

What did everyone else do?

TIA

For our GMs, FI is paying for half of their tux rentals and will be getting them personalized flasks and pocket knives. For my girls, they are all getting a deluxe mani/pedi with me at a spa the day before the wedding, I've got them a set of pearl jewelry, the BMs will also get goodies from the Body Shop and my MOH will get a personalized snow globe from Things Remembered, and I'll get them all gift cards to their favorite stores.

I think what you and your FI have in mind are nice! You should get them whatever you are most comfortable getting, especially budget wise. And also shop for them as if it's their birthdays, to make it more personal and unique.

If it would be a good Christmas or birthday gift, it's a good wedding party gift.  Do you genuinely think the guys are going to use flasks?  DH has one that he never uses, I'm not even sure where it is.  I'm honestly not sure what a purse holder is...

Remember that they don't all have to get the same thing.  Our WP gifts are in my bio under FAQ.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

ive been thinking about starting a post on this...but i remember in the past that this topic hasnt went so well.

ive also been trying to come up with gift ideas. We are paying for our bridal parties flights & hotels to Vegas as well as their hair and jewelry and the guys suits. I was thinking about just getting some poker chips...maybe they will win big! We wanna do something small...more like a thank you for being in our lives. But FI sister, a BM, will only be 18 and I have a feeling if I dont get all the BM the same thing...Ill be in trouble with the FMIL.

I didn't think about shopping for them as if it were a birthday gift, that's good idea.  I think that will help with the shopping.

They really aren't spa folks, but I am and would love to get that as a gift.

Yeah, its interesting to see what others have done or plan on doing.

Yes, I still remember how this topic in the past went in a negative way.

I have decided to get my ladies several gifts from Etsy. My ladies are very different, but I didn't want anyone to feel like they didn't get an equal gift, because each of them have been so sweet and supportive through this wedding planning process. Each lady will get a vintage style locket (different design for each lady to fit their personality made by local artist here in Phoenix), also I purchased organic canvas bags with a fun Vegas design from a vendor on Etsy. I may throw in a few fun things like comfy shoes for the big day and a maybe a few fun local items from Phoenix (food items) and beauty items that are fun and useful for the big day (ex. blotting papers).

Russell treated his Groomsmen to a steak dinner at Okada at the Wynn as their gift and they loved it.

I got my girls some travel items (luggage tag and cute travel lingerie bag), Juicy sweats (so we could do the cliche mathcing thing), and paid for their hair and makeup by Glamsquad.

FI bought his guys watches... and we may purchase their ties for them.  They are not wearing tuxes... just suits but we want them to coordinate with the BMs dresse so we think we will end up buying the ties to match the dresses.

Ladies will be getting half their hair/make-up paid for, personalized flip flops... and earrings/braclets.

We will probably do something extra for the best man, Maid & Matron of Honors as well... not sure what yet.

Wallacje My husband really wanted to get the guys flasks so I ran with the idea and made the Vegas Survival Kits. Along with the personalized flasks which had their initials , they got their favorite bottle of alcohol , a how to play poker for dummies(they had all talked up how they were gonna play card games and table games), a pack of playing cards, and for fun a green poker visor. Our friends were excited about the stuff and it all came in handy for them over the weekend. They played poker they drank all weekend long had their flasks all weekend long. We even have a picture of them toasting with it. I can say none of them took their bottles home they all stayed empty in the hotel room lol

We are doing ties and cufflinks for the guys to wear during the ceremony. For my bridesmaids I am having flower clutches made that will replace bouquets during the wedding and then also a necklace to match their dresses. I may do a small makeup kit to add to their clutches as well.

I love the CLUTCH idea!! I am having issues with the fact that I am letting my bridesmaids pick their dresses and I want to incorporate two colors into their look and this would be an EXCELLENT way to do that!

My ladies got matching purple satin clutches, 2 peices of personalized jewlery, a picture frame, and hair and makeup paid for.

Nina - that was a great idea for your groomsmen!  I wish I had thought of that!
