Strip question

My mom and I have been bickering about this for the past week.  Do we need a car for the strip photos?  It's going to be me, FI and our photographer.  My mother says we can walk it I say we need a car.

Who's right????

You're gonna want a car.  The Strip is actually kinda long.  If you were in jeans and sneakers, yeah sure you could walk it, but in your wedding dress and heels and with your hair and makeup all done, a car is a must.

For sure need a car!  Trust me, the distance between things on the strip is very deceiving.  It will look like the next place you are trying to get to is just right there, but it really isn't.

I'd say get a car ... the casinos are HUGE and the blocks between them are longer than you think.

Car! heels + walking the strip = torture Especially with your shoes! I will be wearing high heels too and want to do as little walking as possible.

Definitely car!!!  You can get tired walking through MGM or Caesar's alone :)

We're actually doing a limo so we don't have to drive or worry about parking/valet.  Oh, yeah, and we can have champagne ;)

Car and valet park. The walk from the parking garage to the front of the casino is almost as bad as walking down the strip. Its really far. And yes you have to tip and wait for your car at valet but your feet will thank you.

Car!!!!! If I were you I would book a car through one of the limo businesses so they pick you up and take you where you need to go.

I'd definitely get either a towncar or limo rather than trying to drive it yourself; it's an absolute nightmare trying to park at each place you'd want to stop for pictures, better to just have the driver let you out and then they can circle somewhere until you're done.

    AGREE!!!
And if you're on any sort of a time crunch you're going to be wasting a lot of time dealing with parking and even more time trying to walk it.

We used a limo for our strip tour and he made it so easy to just hop out take pictures then hop back in. Definitely the way to go!

I would definitely agree that the limo/town car would definitely be the easiest so they can just drop you off someplace and then deal with circling or parking or waiting someplace.  I think the 2nd easiest would have someone drive you who's not in the pics who can then do the same think, drop you off and circle or park/hang someplace until you're done.  Otherwise definitely Valet, because like PP said those parking garages are miles away!

I have heard that the Strip itself is over THREE MILES LONG so a car would be the best way to go.

The strip all the way to Fremont St is 6 miles (ran the half marathon.. it goes from one end to the other).

Walking just a few casinos will wipe you out if you're dressed up and in heels, plus some are lame outside, and you'll likely veer inside a bit and there's LOTS more walking, even if you think you're taking a 'short cut.'

    I still say get a car. :)
