Need some suggestions/help on where to have Travis Allen

Hello everyone, I'm hoping I can get some helpful advice/suggestions on renting a double decker that will allow Travis Allen to perform.  I originally was trying to book the double decker that everyone talks about (the one that's 135 an hour with two hour minimum) but after speaking with them, they won't allow Travis Allen to perform as Elvis with their bus.  I have already put a nonrefundable deposit down with Travis Allen and now have nowhere for him to perform.  We are having our reception at the Firefly, but it's a tapas reception and I don't intend to have anyone performing there.  We may have to do that as a last resort though.  What I really want is to do a tour of the strip on a double decker with Travis performing as Elvis.  Does anyone have any companies they have used or heard good things about that they can recommend?

Why don't you ask GK?  He should be able to tell you on which DD buses Travis has performed successfully on. I saw a youtube of Travis performing in a Limo, but may want to double check with GK that he will do a DD bus.  I can't imagine it's safe for him to stand up while the bus is moving.  IMO I think having him at your tapas reception would be a lot better.  That way guests can take photos with him and he can have plenty of room to perform.

Thanks for the response, I already asked GK.  He called me back with a quote for a charter bus.  I don't think it will hold enough people though =/  He didn't really come up with other options aside from having him perform at the reception.

yeah I think that may be your best bet.  We are having him come to our reception about 2 hours after it starts. I think he may be one of the best parts of the wedding day!

I wish I knew the DD wouldn't let Travis Allen perform on it, I wouldn't have booked him =(

I agree that it should be at the reception. I don't think your guests would have enjoyed him on the bus since he can only be on one floor at a time. The other half will wonder what is going on without them! I think it will be more fun at the reception that way everyone can see him and mingle.

Could you have your bus do a stop somewhere Vegas-y and fun? Maybe the sign or something? The have him be there and perform? Just an idea, not sure of how it would work out logistically.

That's a cool idea but since it'll be mid November it may be too cold.  I think I'm just going to have to go with having him at the reception =/

I think I already posted this, but we had Travis just mingle and take pictures during our cocktail hour.  If you're not dead set on him performing, its an option.  We got some great shots and I was able to email a photo to literally every guest of them with Elvis.  People loved it and many used it for their Christmas cards this year.
