Nevada-Las Vegas

My Experiences with Multiple Las Vegas Wedding Vendors (so far...) LONG!

Attention Las Vegas Brides!

As you know, planning a wedding in Vegas can be a daunting experience at best, especially if you are not a local.  I have done a TON of research on all things Vegas, and here is a short re-cap of some of my experiences so far.

I just want to start by saying that we had originally booked The Foundation Room at MB for our ceremony and reception (guest list of approx. 50).  While the venue is spectacular, the packages are very restrictive.  As some of you may have heard, the prices are also spectacular.  The F and B min. was $5200.  Not that it mattered, because we were spending WAY more then that for F and B.  The per person/per hour bar price is $60!!!

Anyway,  Amber was very nice and she did her best to be helpful, but I thought it was a bit ridiculous that they wouldn't guarantee we could stay in the club after our reception was over.

That, amongst other things made me uncomfortable, so we decided to go with our other choice.

Four Seasons Las Vegas - Melanie Anderson

One word: AMAZING!  Melanie is professional, reliable and so knowledgeable!  I don't know if any of you have experienced the "no" sydrome while planning.  I have never heard the word "no" from Melanie!  She always accommodates my requests and is so supportive in sharing my vision!    Of course, the property is beautiful as well.
If any of you have this venue on your list, PLEASE just go ahead and save yourself the hassle and book here.

Memory Lane Video - John Sanchez, Ricky Gulati and staff

These guys filmed a save the date for us and it was so fun!  We had three camera operators.  We went all over Vegas... the sign, the strip and we even went downtown!  We had such a great experience with everyone that we booked them for our wedding videography.  These guys are artists in their own right.   We have  yet to see the finished product, but saw a rough cut a couple of days after the shoot and we loved what we saw!  Everything they do is unique to the couple they work with, so if you want something different like we did, then these are the guys to go with!
I will post a link to the video once it's done.

Masterpiece Cuisine - Scott and Josh

Yet another catered party in the Vista Suite at MB.

I think I may have mentioned this in another post, but Josh and Scott have been wonderful!  After many menu changes and questions, we finally booked them for our in-suite party.  Scott and Josh both went out of their way to accommodate us with our unusual requests and with the many other great reviews here, I'm confident that they will do a great job for us!

A big thank you to all the brides that post here.  I would never have thought to do an in-suite party with Masterpiece if it wasn't for this board.

Thank you to everyone for posting all this great info!  I hope I can return the favour...

I have to second the AMAZING for Melanie. We are also getting married at the Four Seasons and she has been awesome! The other vendor we love are Trish and Jarod from Studio ATG for photography. We have not done our session yet but they have been great so far and are coming to California to do our engagement pictures. The pictures they have online are amazing so I am really excited.

Ooohhhh!  I am really hoping to get ATG as well!  Going to phone them right now (thanks for the reminder)...

I am glad to hear that you love Melanie as much as I do.  I am sooo excited!

Waiting to hear back on whether we can have a live dove release.  That is if I can get anyone to call me back...

    I sent you a PM :)

Thank you so much for this info!  I've got a scouting trip coming up in February and was hoping to check out the Foundation Room.  I submitted a request for more info but no one has gotten back to me (it's been, like, two weeks) so that's a bit of a red flag right there...

If you're comfortable giving details, what other things went down with them that made you guys uncomfortable?

    Hey all-
I have a quick question about using Masterpiece. My main concern is getting them access to the suite. I haven't booked anything yet, because I am nervous that my day will be filled with worry about coordiating some of this stuff. HOnestly, I am *not sure I want to burden my guests either. Can anyone offer some words of enouragement?
    thanks!

    @rferry

I had the same reservations at first, but I had to let it go.  After reading the reviews from other brides and talking to Masterpiece I honestly think it will be fine.

I booked Travis Allen (an Elvis impersonator) and he also assured me that there will be no problem getting up to the Vista suite.

Hope this makes you feel better!

Thanks! What has been an good plan on letting the delivery  person in- just assign someone you trust? I know MB seems more lenient so I was wondering if staff at the hotel would do it?Sorry if this sounds  trivial :)

It's not trivial at all!  These details are important!
We are going to give our key to someone we trust and they will let the caterers in.  I'm not sure if I would ask the hotel staff, but maybe someone else has?  I have heard other brides say that the staff has assisted them with bringing stuff up to the room.
