Suggestions for Suite for the night after the wedding?

Any suggestions for a suite for the night after the wedding that is nice but not horribly expensive, under $200. I kinda want to stay at Aria, but thought maybe we could get a suite instead of just a regular room at Aria (and Aria's only if rates go down as it's over $200 for the Sat. we need it for, Oct. 22).

Signature at MGM grand maybe...? Any suggestions on favorite hotels/suites? TIA!

I would look at the Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Palazzo (I believe all they have are suites) also maybe Trump (they have a suite with a to-die-for view of the strip)

I've heard great things about the spa suites at the Golden Nugget. I've looked at them online and you can get this HUGE gorgeous room for the price of a regular room on the strip.

For options under $200 or a little above, I would look at MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, The Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Treasure Island.  For hotels a little bit over $200-$300, ditto what junebug mentioned and also Caesars Palace.

We had a one bedroom suite at the Trumph. We had our reception (not in the room) there and were able to get it for $169 a night.  It was a corner suite and had a view of the strip. I don't remember the exact floor we were on, it was over 30 though and the view was insane.

What kind of suite? Reaort suites at the Venetian/Palazzo and Wynn/Encore are $129/199 a night. Our resort suite at the Venetian was beautiful! (we went last year)
If you want a larger (+++square ft) suite the price goes up. We booked a salon suite for the wedding night at $900 at the Wynn.

Even though it's not a suite, the Aria rooms are SOO cool!  The most modern hotel room I've ever been in, and the most comfortable bed. We stayed there with friends this year and it was awesome and the best location!

We're staying at a suite at the Vdara for our wedding week, actually all the rooms are suites, not as luxurious as the Aria but still super nice and around $119 during the week and $139 on the weekend for our week in May.

We spent our HM at the Venetian in one of their base suites.  It was still pretty massive and very comfortable, so we were okay with not spending the money to upgrade to a nicer one.

ETA: Sorry, the Palazzo, not the Venetian.

I've stayed in THEsuite at Mandalay Bay and a regular suite at Signature (MGM).  I ADORED THEsuite - it had two bathrooms (the main bath has a 7' soaking tub), a huge living room and bedroom.  It's darker than Mandalay Bay rooms, but it's modern and comfortable.  Since I'm in the MGM players club, I got the room for $79 a night (from an email promo).  My only complaint was the whirring noise from the main door because they don't close all the way.  My FI and I intend to spend our week-long trip there, with the exception of two nights in the Vista.

Signature is great, and I love that you can get a balcony overlooking the strip.  You also can get rooms with a kitchen...

I would recommend signing up for the players clubs if you haven't already - you can probably get better rates with the promos.

    HTH!

Love, love, love the Signature! We had a junior suite with a kitchenette. Their kitchenette rivals some real kitchens though, it had everything.  I don't remember offhand which tower we were in, but we had a view of Harmon Ave and the pools.  The bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a whirlpool tub. The staff was excellent and it was overall a great time there. I signed up for their guestbook and became a fan on facebook; ended up with a great deal for $99 or $109 a night (can't remember), got 2 free cocktails, and a $25 food credit. We used it for breakfast at DeLights, it was awesome.  There is a resort fee of $20 a night, but I didn't mind because H had fresh coffee in the room and it was nice not to pay for wireless internet.  Plus it's connected to MGM Grand so it's an easy walk to all of their restaurants and pools.

Just thinking about that place makes me smile, I can't wait to go back LOL <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

I'm staying in a spa suite Thursday-Sunday for my wedding but the room is definitely more than $200 per night.  I think it is $394 on Thurs and Sun.  There are other "suites" that are less though.  A Rush Tower regular room is super awesome and would probably be way under $200.

However, you need to weigh the costs of changing a hotel in the middile of the day vs. the cost of staying in your hotel.  I mean, the packing and moving and re-checking in, etc. is a pain...

How did you get that price for the Wynn?  Rack rates for a resort suite for a weekend in October are over $300....Regular rooms are over $200.  Are you on a mailing list?

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I'm going to check all the places out here soon!! Trump sounds intriuging!  My hope is to catch a really good deal at some point on a more upgraded room/suite, so these are nice to know so we can keep our eyes open for any specials that come about.

We have to switch rooms anyways on Sat. as there's no way we're paying for another night of the L Suite, so I figure might as well look into other hotels/rooms since we have to move everything anyways.

@nycheryl - We're actually staying at TheHotel Wed. to Sat., 2 of the nights in the L Suite.  So I'm glad to hear your rave reviews, thanks!

<div>I am on the mailing list but the prices I get through that are usually for resort rooms only. I got that rate  for the salon suite over the phone when I called in December. The second night is $800 but I haven't paid for that yet. I had to pay the first night only when I reserved and to be honest I really hope I can find a better offer from smartervegas.com and save. </div>

but they quoted you a resort suite for just $199/night on a weekend?  That is almost half off the regular price.  A fantastic deal.

Yes $199 a night for a resort :-) I had shared the promo code when I got it a few months ago. I'm going to get another offer for spring and will share that one too!

I get deals for the regular resort rooms but never the suites.  I don't gamble there so that might be why.  They just don't like my little wallet....

Smokey, hold on let me rectify, the $129/199 a night I get through the mailing list are for the Wynn deluxe "rooms", not suites, sorry for the confusion. That's the offer I receive every beginning of season. The rate we got for the tower suite (salon) is another story, that was via phone, when I called.
SORRY, I was sure that it was considered an all-suite resort and all the rooms were called suites regardlessBelieve me they don't like my little wallet either. Anyways, I'm going to share the next promo code as soon as I get it so we can see.
