Scouting Trip...

FH and I are heading to Vegas in 8 days. I have set up a few appts to check out ceremony venues. We would like to also check out maggianos, have lunch to try the food, get cupcakes from Retro, meet with the photographer, book hair and make-up and he would like to try on tuxes to get an idea of what he likes (he pretty much wants to do everything big that weekend so its out of the way). My question is how much time do i need for each venue appt? We are heading up Thursday night after work and coming back sometime saturday. We are going to be super busy and don't have a lot of time so any advise from those who have done scouting trips is much appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I would book time for at least half an hour at each place.  Some will be shorter, but the hotels are so big it takes forever to get to the wedding chapel area!

I would go for one each hour or 1 1/2 hours. Unless the places are in the same hotel. That'll give you about 45 min to look at each place and  45 min to get to the next one. Even if you valet at each of the hotels it can easily take a good 20 minutes to get from the valet to where you need to be in the hotels. Plus, lots of people when be coming in for the weekend on Friday, so the LVB will be pretty busy.
Depending on how many places you need to look at, you might want to do all the stuff on the strip one day and all the off strip stuff the next day. Also if your going to be self-parking, you might want to go up the west side of the strip, end at Maggiano's for lunch and after lunch, and then going down east side. This way you can take the back route and hopefully miss some of the traffic. Not to mention not feel like your in a giant game of Frogger
