Planning help and ideas

So just curious what everyone would do and get some ideas. We want to spend about $4000-5000 for everything for the day. We're getting married on Jan 26,2013 and will have approx 30 attending. We want full day photography coverage, perhaps a strip tour, and a meal with beverages included. So for all you lovelies out there who live to plan things, HELP! Lol.. I look forward to hearing some great ideas! Thanks in advance!

  • Bently & Wilson Photography is currently $750 for 6 hours and about $900 for 8 hours. You get a cd of the photos w/ rights.

I have looked into Le Village at Paris and they are currently $45 for adults
And it includes beer & wine. They also charge a room fee if you want to be separate from main dining. Don't know what day of the week the 26th is, but I was quoted a minimum of $3500 for a private room at Wicked Spoon... If you can find a good price for a suite, you could do an in-suite reception and get a caterer.

Welcome to the board.  Do you have any flexibility on the date?  Only reason I ask is because Saturday is the most expensive day to get married on in Vegas.  If you had it on Sunday instead, could be significantly less.  I know from a traveling standpoint and guests Saturday is usually preferred; just throught I'd throw it out there.

So, with that being said, start here for some photographer options:

    <a href="http://www.vegasgroom.com/37/" rel="nofollow">http://www.vegasgroom.com/37/</a>

I'd pay particular attention to Joey Allen and Bently & Wilson as they're going to have most of, to all, day coverage for around $1000.

So that leaves $3k to $4k.  Do you have a preference on where your ceremony is?  Did you want a traditional chapel, something more exotic, really don't care, etc.?  If you want a traditional chapel, then because of the budget, you will want to avoid any resort chapel that is linked with Cashman photography; that's a vendor who you're forced to use and who charges astronomical amounts of money for copies of your photos.  If you're still up in the air on where to get married, here's some ideas:

    <a href="http://www.vegasgroom.com/Ceremony-ideas-based-on-theme_89.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.vegasgroom.com/Ceremony-ideas-based-on-theme_89.html</a>

One of your least expensive options would be an in-suite ceremony and reception where you rent a big kick ass suite for the night, or two, have an officiant come perform your ceremony in your room, then have a catered reception in the same room.  We're talking a big room of course, more than enough space for 30 people to attend; those typically run from $600 to $1500/night.  Some though, the one I'm thinking of being the Stardust suite at the Orleans, just have a food and beverage minimum and the suite is included; that could be a good option for you, it's $3000 which will more than cover feeding all of your guests and you've got 2500 square feet to entertain in.

    <a href="http://www.vegasgroom.com/The-Orleans_83.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.vegasgroom.com/The-Orleans_83.html</a>

Other options would be Vista at Mandalay for typically $700/night or so on a Saturday, bring in a caterer like Masterpiece, you could probably get by spending less than $3k.

Here's a more thorough list of in-suite options:
