Nevada-Las Vegas

Newbie--need suggestions

Hi Ladies~

I am new to the LV board and looking for help.  I was planning a wedding here in my home state, but changed my mind and want Vegas.  Before he and I were engaged we talked about Vegas, but for some reason I thought a DW was out of the question so started planning a big wedding here.  Come to find out it's not out of the question so...Vegas here we come!

I have researched many hotels of what venue I like and what packages I like, but LOVE CP Juno Garden and LOVE the Caesars package which has everything I'm looking for.  Smile  The FI also loves it as well, but the reception part is the hard part.  I have seen the Vegas Knotties List and seen the possible reception sites, but looking for more ideas.

The FI and I are not dnacers so we are looking for a nice place, semi priviate is fine or private (haven't decided yet) like a Steakhouse that offers great food for our guests.  Since they are traveling to see us get married I want to offer them a nice dinner.  I do not have a count yet on #'s, but I would guess it will be less than 60 people.  I have looked into Lawrys, but hoping for more suggestions.

TIA,

    Hello and welcome!
    I was a Juno Garden bride :)
Why don't you try one of the banquet rooms at Caesars? They have customizable menus, or you can try Nero's which is also at Caesars and they have reception packages.

If you want to stay on property then I would suggest Nero's as well. When my FI & I were considering Caesar's we looked at it but we haven't actually eaten there. It looked neat though and seemed like it had a good atmosphere.

Lawry's is also a good choice. I don't know exactly what your budget is, but other steakhouses in that area would be Morton's, Ruth Chris, & Del Frisco's. On the strip near Caeser's there is The Capital Grille and at the other end of the Strip is Smith & Wollensky's and even further down is Texas de Brazil which I know has a private room for receptions and such. Research these options and let me know if you need any help. I am a local so I might have further info if you need it!

Thanks MrsSilverwolf!!!  The FI and I love Texas De Brazil so I will for sure look into that because they have a whole variety of foods, right?  I can't think right now b/c I'm sick.  Ugh darn Chicago weather.

I will look into the other suggestions you mentioned and thank you again!  Great ideas!  Laughing

BTW MrsSilverwolf---The wolf is my favorite animal and silver is my favorite color.  LOL

Texas de Brazil does have a variety of foods. It is all Brazilian food, but that includes steak, pork, sausage, chicken, etc. It is all soooo good!! =) They are located at our townsquare (it's like a outdoor shopping mall and has a ton of restaurants) It is on LV Blvd but it's further south from Caesar's and will probably require transportation for the guests. (but then again Lawry's would have needed that too)

Hehe, my FI's fav animal is wolf and he likes silver too.. it's actually his nickname that I just added the Mrs to.

If you need any further help on anything, just send me a private message! =)

Awesome thanks again.  Is there a way to save you as a friend to make it easier to PM you?  If you don't mind me saving you, I won't without your permission.  :-)

Another option to consider is the restaurants at Bellagio. Its close enough you can walk. Prime is suppose to be amazing and I love the italian restaurant Olives. Not sure when your wedding is, but I am pretty sure Olives will rent out their patio and you can have your reception in front of the fountains.

    Happy Planning!

We're having our reception for about the same # of guests (60) at Trevi at the Forum shops.  It's Italian but they are owned by Morton's Steakhouse so they have really good steak too :).  It's reasonably priced and Michelle the catering manager is super nice!
