Brunch Suggestions

Hello LV Knotties,

My parents have just offered to host a brunch the day after the wedding which is so generous of them. I don't want them to have a huge bill (especially if our whole guest list attends) so I was hoping to grab some suggestions on affordable (around $15pp) places to have a brunch. The brunch would be on a Thursday and we wouldn't want it to start before 10-10.30am. Is this possible during the week? Also, if we hit a buffet, most end breakfast at 11am does that mean they kick us out at 11am? The only buffet we have here does that (but closes for an hour before the next service).

TIA JJ

EDIT- Location between Palazzo/TI and NYNY & MGM- Walking distance from hotel.

Most places only do "brunch" on Saturdays or Sundays.
They don't kick you out but if you arrive around switching time. Most swich over between 10:30/11:00. So if you arrive around that time, they might charge you for lunch and have a little bit of breakfast food left over. BUt they don't kick you out. I've stayed for over 2 hours at Rio durring the switch from lunch to dinner. They didn't care.
    Prices are for breakfast/lunch
    My favorite buffet is Rio's Canival World Buffet  <a href="http://www.riolasvegas.com/casinos/rio/restaurants-dining/carnival-world-buffet-detail.html" target="_blank" title="link">(link)</a> $16/$18
    I've heard good things about:
    Mandalay ??
    Bellagio $16/$20
    M Resort $10/$15 (includes beer&wine)
    Wynn ??

Do you think it might be better/easier to order stuff in? Like doughnuts/bagels/sandwiches/dips etc. The resort we are staying at has 5 pool areas and have said they don't mind if we literally take one over for an event (no charge either). That way people could come and go and swim etc. They also have BBQ's so we could carry into lunch with some burgers and sausgaes and salad? Can you get sausgaes in the USA? The english/Aussie type not the little breakfast ones?

Maggiano's does a large party brunch that you have to book. I  don't remember prices, though it is on the website menu and so does Brio Tuscan Grill at Town Square (south of Mandalay Bay and Russell Rd). I think the breakfast plated brunch is $14.95 and the breakfast buffet is $16.95 for Eggs benedict, french toast, potatoes, crepes, fritattas, scramble, and all continental items. I don't know when you're wedding is, but the Station Casinos are having really great prices on their buffets right ow. The best buffet is at Green Valley Ranch casino and their breakfast buffet is on $6.99 right now.

Check Maggiano's because I think they had reasonable prices and you may be able to add on a champagne/ mimosa pkg to it also.

The hotel cafes generally have good prices for their breakfast food.  If your guests did the buffet the night before for your reception, they may want a non-buffet option the next morning.  Also, check with some of the restaurants to see if you can do a prix fixe menu for your group.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

We had ours at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris Hotel) it was incredibly reasonable, they have a private room and it as VERY good, highly recommend!

@smokey- yeah I wanted to stay away from the buffet- the prix fixe might work!
@encore- love the look of Mon Ami Gabi but I would have to wait until after our RSVP date to book as we may have too many people for the private room.
@Reggi- i am trying to avoid making people pay for cabs etc...I guess i should have said that!

We considered doing the poolside cabana thing, but we had guests scattered all over and getting everyone was just too complicated, and we had already hosted all of the other wedding events out of our suite so we wanted to do something a little different for brunch.  But I think it's a good option, especially if you're trying to save money.

Searching for "butcher near las vegas" turned up several promising options for proper sausages.  They're all a little distance from the Strip, but you could call about delivery or pick them up early and store them in a fridge or cooler.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I know that Jason's Deli delivers and can bring brunch items+ non-alc beverages to you and if you want alcohol (mimosas, bloody marys, etc) you can just make a run to the Lee's liquor beforehand. I think the closest one is on Flamingo near Pecos or Eastern east of strip or I think there is a delivery service called anythinguwantdelivery.com that will bring you groceries, liquor and even food. You can have Eisteins Bagels, Tropical Smoothie, Panera Bread or even IHOP delivered to you by the service also. Most of the delivery services have a $10 minimum and charge anywhere from $3.99 internet order to $10. I heard that this service is pretty good too.

There is a Pub called Crown & Anchor on Tropicana east of strip near UNLV that serves good sausages. If you want take out, or maybe you can even find where they get them.

OMG there is a British Grocery on Decatur Blvd and they have a website you can pre-order a variety of sausages and other items. I think it is britishgrocers.com.
