So my mum had hinted my dad was going to give fi and I some money towards the wedding budget and yesterday he called to say he would give us 5K!!! I was shocked, I felt like I won the lottery. I NEVER thought he would give us that much. And then in true wedding planning fashion I go to look at the website for the private mansion we've booked only to find the property is no longer on the owner's website!!! So I email her and her response is that they are currently renegotiating the lease so they had to take it down...but not to worry they will make sure I am upgraded if that house isn't available!!!

Wow that's kind of scary; you may want to reconsider booking through that company if the availability of a property could be jeopardized after you send your invites out; that could be a disaster.

Congrats on the gift from dad though!

I know! The problem is I have already booked it so I don't know if I should just wait it out or ask for the money back from our deposit (2k). The problem is 1 I love the proximity to the strip and the airport 2. Like you said the invitations and 3 I had my heart set on that place...I don't want any of her other properties or to start looking all over again!

It was the biggeat decision we made and I have centred so many other things around it. I am freaking out!
