After party?

Our reception will be done at 11, but since we have a younger group that will want to keep dancing and partying after that, we're thinking about doing an after party at a club/lounge. Has anyone done or is planning on doing this? Any suggestions for location? And what about costs? We would like to host part of it, but with a big group of partiers that could get out of control pretty quickly. Is it ok to just host up to a certain amount? How do you tell people this? I've got some time to work it out obviously, I'm just a planner. :-)

I would suggest everyone pay thier own cover at a lounge/nightclub in the hotel your staying at and have bottle service.

I would call ahead to the club and have an area reserved.  If you want to take a portion of that bill thats all on you, but I say talk about it before you go and make sure everyone is on the same page.

I am thinking of doing the same.  Our reception will end at 12 but I'm sure that the younger crowd will continue the party somewhere else.  I dont think I will host the after party, but I may pay for cover for my guests.

Our wedding isn't until next year but I plan to call some of the bigger clubs and see what they can do.  A friend of mine told me that she has made VIP reservations at clubs in Vegas and her party was able to skip the line.  I'm unsure however if she had a table, but she did say that she didn't pay bottle service to get VIP entry.

I've been thinking about the same thing, I have NO clue what to do.
Our wedding is @ 11:30, reception @ 12:30, strip photo tour until 4:30 ish, bridal party/family get together at margaritaville, no-host dinner @ TBD...but I know we will all want to go out after dinner but we are FAR from the night club kind of crowd but we all LOVE to drink and have a good time.

we were originally planning to have our reception at Rum Jungle. If you book with them they will put all of your guests on the list to come back for no cover to the club later that night. Of course the other option is to just pay cover to go there as well.

You can also reserve space at EyeCandy (and other places I'm sure) if you get bottle service. Bottles are usally around $200 each and you get something 1 bottle per every 5-10 people.

I have the info for EyeCandy. If you want it shoot me an email at my name at yahoo dot com.

Our reception is over pretty early since were doing lunch (5pm) but knowing our group of friends, alot of people will want to continue partying so we are having a no host after party at a local tiki lounge. We put up the info on our wedding site and plan on having the DJ announce it as well.

We had an after party at Blush at the Wynn. It was reeeeeally nice— we had a VIP section with bottle service. There were about 20 ppl with us and the tab came to $30ish per person, which no one had a problem with, since you run up that tab with 2-3 drinks in Vegas anyway!

    Hope that helps :)

Wow I need that deal!!! I was quoted like $2000 and I cannot afford that. I need a table or space for like $20 people. Anyone else have ideas. We are staying at The Palazzo and need a club close/ no taxi's??
