In-Suite Receptions

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or information on in-suite receptions?? I'm looking to spend about $1500 on our receptiondinner after the ceremony. I'm not sure if my budget would even cover something like this? I was thinkking of going to Canaletto's otherwise.

That would depend on how many guests you're looking to host and the cost of the suite. Also, if your reception doesn't fall on a meal time you're ok serving heavy apps instead of a full dinner.
We had an in-suite reception for 11, including us and the photographers, that cost around $1K. The suite was another $800. We served a variety of heavy apps, cake, champagne and used their catering dept. We were at the Wynn but there are many other gorgeous suites you can pick from that won't be as expensive.
When you inquire, ask about the max occupancy limits for each suite, that will narrow down your search.
  • As WiWicaty mentioned, it depends on how many guest you are having. We are looking at about $1,500 for 25 guest. The suite is 600 ,food 350 , bartender and drinks 350.00 , cake 200.00 .

  • I am a MB Vista girl. I am in the ballpark of $3,000. (day of suite, bar, bartender, full cake (vs cupcakes), & catering) However, my guest list is larger than those mentioned thus far--40 Half of that bill, is food. I felt the need to go a little heavier on the catering, as I am running over a meal time. (food bill includes sales tax and auto gratuity) A nice in-suite party can absolutely be done on a budget. It simply depends [as previously mentioned] on the size of your guest list, and what you wish to serve your guests. (f&b, favors, etc) I've also spent additional, on light decor, favors, and the fact that I have the suite for a total of 3 nights! (set up the day prior--Get ready & photos the morning of, plus the actual party--and sleeping in and enjoying my first day of marriage, without having to move or check out the day after) Everyone varies. This was all within my personal budget. And being from the Northeast, I feel like I am getting away cheap, compared to what a wedding would cost me at home! =)

  • I booked the Executive Hospitality Suite at the Aria for $500 a night.  It was the biggest and nicest suite I could find for that price.  I was quoted $1000 for 25 people catered by Masterpiece includes taxes, gratuity, delivery and set up).
