Budget Recpetion Ideas--At or near Mandalay Bay

I am getting married at Mandalay Bay this September.  I am aslo looking for reception ideas and will have about 30 guests.  I am having trouble finding an affordable place to have a dinner afterwards.  The cheapest Mandalay Bay has offered so far is the Bayside Buffet for $26.99 a person plus a $150 facility fee.  Does anyone know of something cheaper?  It doesn't have to be at Mandalay Bay, but nearby would be great since everyone is flying in and won't have cars.

If you want a buffet, I am sure that excalibur or the luxor is cheaper and they are connected by a walkway from MB. MB buffet will probably be nicer, but it all depends on your budget.

If you want a sit-down dinner, you might be able to try one of the regular cafes inside of the bordering casinos, NYNY has a good cafe, but it is definitly not anything fancy.

I think it might be difficult for you to find something less expensive than the quote you received from the Bayside.  IMO, $26.99/person is a hell of a deal, especially when you consider that it is an all-you-can-eat buffet with non-alcoholic beverages included.

Have you looked into having an insuite or cocktail/apps reception?

Studio B (M Resort) is the only cheaper option that I can think of but it is a fair hike from MB. You may consider it and get a limo bus from bells transport for under $100 an hour to drop everyone off there. I have been told that there is a shuttle that runs to the M Resort as well.

The only thing that makes me think that it would be a good option for you is that beer and wine are included in the price so it would save you on the bar tab which could pay for the bus!

They will also provide a line pass for you if you ask.
