Nevada-Las Vegas

Chapels

Hi there! We are getting married in September in Vegas. We are in our 30's, and are basically just a super fun couple!! We have 10-15 people coming with us. I have been researching chapels, and there are just so many to choose from. We want something non-religious and FUN! My fiance has mentioned Elvis, but we have not made a decision on that. I thought it would be pretty cool to get married where my parents did, Silver Bells, but it looks like it is now closed. If you are familiar with that, I am looking for something similiar. They said that everyone was walking in with bottles of beers (maybe that is how they all are??) Neither of us have ever been to Vegas. I am a "planner", but maybe I should not be! Thanks in advance for any help with this!!

Walking into a chapel with bottles of beers??  scary. That's not what you want to happen at your ceremony is it?  There are many chapel options to chose from in Vegas.  I think it would help you narrow down your choices if you chose a location, on or off the strip first.  A lot of chapels also offer Elvis to come to your ceremony, and I'm sure there are some that offer elvis to officiate it.  I know Planet Hollywood has an Elvis Appearance option but again that is just one of the many choices.

Mandalay Bay has a Viva Las Vegas package that includes an "Elvis" to sing at your wedding.  If you decide to not have an Elvis, they have many other packages.

We were married at MB, and were very happy with our ceremony.

I guess this is where I am running into problems already.  I am reading all of these comments about arranging transportation for guests, etc, but we were not planning a wedding like that.  We just want our wedding to be fun and casual.  We are having a big party back here at home.  This is basically for us, and whoever decides to join us.  Nothing fancy, and I would expect about 15 of our friends and family coming.  I guess I would be interested in a chapel right on the strip that you can walk into and an hour later walk out of.  I noticed most handle the flowers and music, etc., and I am fine with that.  This is my 2nd wedding, and I already had my big fairtytale wedding.

    Ah, gotcha.

Then my suggestion would be to check out the chapels located in the Strip hotels.  Many of the hotels also have first rate dining, so after your ceremony, you could host those guests who came out to a great meal.  Also, it would be convenient to get rooms in the same hotel.  This should definately reduce your need to arrange for transportation.

    HTH!

I am totally on the same page with you about this.   That is exactly what I wanted for my wedding and the reason I switched my ceremony to Caesars Palace.  I did not want to have to deal with transportation or anything like that for my guests.

For what you're looking for, I would recommend Chapel of Flowers, it's a one stop shop, ceremony, flowers, transportation, dinner and even dresses and suit/ or tux could be taken care of all in this one place (or package). You have a small amount of guest and they could ride in the limo with you and your groom. You could visit their website: www.littlechapel.com

I was looking for exactly what you're looking for but without a high price tag, because it was going to be just myself and my FI, had their been more people joining us, we most likely would've chosen a different chapel. But COF had exactly what we were looking for and more  :)

If this is also what you're not looking for check out:

Would also recommend Viva Las Vegas Weddings, while I was looking for chapels I came across this chapel and they have some really fun packages.

    Happy Planning!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there, welcome to the board! Your wedding sounds similar to mine, just us and 10-20 guests. We're not having bus tours or transportation or other add-ons, for budget reasons and because we'd rather keep "light", having such a short guest list. We're getting married at the Wynn and having an intimate reception in one of their suites. I don't know what your budget is but since you're starting out with the planning I'd take a look at what they offer.
I'm attaching the link to our vegas knotties page, you can find loads of info and ideas from the bios. HTH!

We're getting married at Vegas Weddings Chapel.

    702wedding.com

They are a one stop shop also. Flowers, ceremony, photographer, flower, etc. They will even send a limo to your hotel to pick you up depending on what package you choose. It's not on the strip, but it is close to Freemont/downtown Vegas. And the prices are very reasonable!

    Good luck!
