I am also very seriously considering moving my ceremony from Little Chapel of the Flowers to The Flamingo Gazebo.
Just wondering- have you seen the gazebo? I think it looks so pretty from the pictures online but am nervous that it will be loud- saw some pretty bad reviews online....
Also, are you at all concerned about the heat? We were offered a 8pm ceremony on July 2nd so we are hoping our guests will be okay. Any thoughts? TIA :)

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the gazebo in person. But it does look stunning online. I fell in love with it when I saw it on the webpage and then when another knottie posted a youtube video she shot of it, I knew that was the ceremony place I had to have!

In all honesty, the biggest reason for the switch was the transportation issue. We were struggling with trying to figure out how to get guests to an off strip chapel, to a different location for the reception, then back to the strip w/o spending a small fortune. And as far as the bad reviews I saw online, I take them with a grain of salt. People are always going to find something to complain about. I trust the girls who have reviewed the Flamingo in their planning/married bios and said good things.

I'm not too concerned about the heat. I ordered sandalwood hand fans to give each guest during the ceremony and the ceremony is only 15-20 minutes. There looked like there was plenty of trees for some shade as well. So hopefully between fans and some shade the guests can handle 15-20 minutes. I figure most of them will be out walking around on the strip anyway, so whats the difference. :)

I hope some of that helps. :)

    Thanks!
Yes- transportation is one of our main concerns as well. We also have a photographer, who was not allowed in the Chapel of Flowers. Flamingo offers outside photography for a small fee- this is very important to me!
I LOVE the idea of fans! So cute!
I agree about the negative reviews, usually only unsatisfied people post reviews so I need to keep that in mind.
Thanks so much for your information! It is such a tough choice- you made me feel much better about changing the venue! Yea!

Glad I could help! We are also very excited about being able to use an outside photographer. At least this way we know our photos will come out great!

PS. the knot shop has sandalwood fans for 79 cents each. Thats where we ordered ours!

Wahoo!! I'm super glad this is helping. And this is with poor camera work and shoddy editing skills. But I still think it captures the feel of it!

Thanks for both the fan idea and the youtube link. I actually watched it a few days ago (don't remember how I found it) and LOVED it. Thanks so much. You girls are the best! Now time to find a bakery! This week's to-do!
