Trashed my Dress!

hi Ladies!
i know  everyone is back and forth on the whole trash the dress thing, but i went and did it!! it was the most fun, stress relieving and just plain exciting thing i did last week besides getting married. our photographers were absolutely amazing! i felt like a model and the pictures are absolutely beautiful! The trash the dress and a preview of my wedding photos were just posted on their blog last night!
www.mikelphotosblog.com
please leave them some comment love. i really can't say enough about this photography team! the best part about trashing with the paint is that it was crayola, and therefore washable! i went back and forth whether to take it to drycleaning to see the look on the employees faces, or just leave it as is and after some hard core debating, i've decided to leave it and hang it in a shadowbox paint and all! it's my own personal work of art!
hope everyone is having a fabulous week! and i promise reviews of vista, masterpiece, shutterbooth and etsy sellers are coming asap :-)

Excellent pictures! Love it! I don't know if I could go so far as paint, but you look like you had so much fun.

Now you need to take the dress to a cleaner and just say, "You think you can get this out?" The reaction would probably be worth it!

Only one week until I get to work with the fabulous Mike L!

I'm not brave enough either to really "trash" the dress, but good for you, the photos are fantastic

thanks for all the congrats and compliments! i hand all of them over graciously to the AMAZING photographers and my makeup artist (i went with Francesca Lombardo) i was so spoiled having these people by my side for before/during and after the wedding! i'm really missing the pampering right about now, haha!

i was slightly uneasy when the first splash of paint got on the dress, but after that split second, i was just like... bring it on!! it got even better when i got to paint my husband up and then had the paint war, haha. (even if some of it landed in my mouth, bleck!)

the next best part was walking around excalibur in my dress and going to see the Tournament of Kings! the reaction of everyone were freaking awesome! the older crowd was horrified and amused, the younger crowd were making bets whether it was ACTUALLY my dress and the in between crowd were trying to figure out if i were part living art, haha.

honestly, even if you get some random thrift store find and do a trash the dress with that, i would totally recommend doing so! what a rush! :-)

I love this! This is super cool. I love the gray backdrop in contract with the vivid colors. You get major kudos for being adventurous!

    Hi,
    Nice shoot
I might be intersted in buying the trashed dress as is, no cleaning required...
This is serious and honest request.

I try to restore the trashed dress back to wearable (if possible, which is not always the case) If the dress is repairable, I donate it to people who can't afford to buy a wedding dress for their special day.
If not, I donate the dress to a local organization which organizes vacations for children (for their dress-up chest)
I can already tell you that I can't pay very much for trashed dresses as it is for a good cause.

The reason that I buy trashed wedding dresses is that they are mostly very cheap, are being thrown away or kept in a box and that I can help other people with their dreams.

I like to work with clothes, and that's the main reason for myself for doing this...

I hope you want to sell the dress for a small fee to me. I pay for shipping.
    Please contact me at herwyn.w@skynet.be

    thank you
    Wendy

Those are awesome Mrs. Wofl! :)
Your photographer really did a good job capturing who you are...both times.
Also Kudos for being so brave!

May I ask where you got your "New Mrs. Wofl" shirt. Super cute!

hi Pink-i got the shirt from customglamgirl.com. i LOVE it. and it's totally wearable after the wedding too (which is good because it's SUPER comfy!)

Belgium- i'll have to think about it some and get back to you. even though it's trashed the dress is super sentimental simply because it's a memory of my wedding and the amazing time i had with my husband after the fact all the stress was over and whatnot. i love the idea of cleaning it up and donating it though. please give me a few days and i'll get back to you via email :-)
