Scouting trip

Just got back from my last scouting trip and wanted to share my experiences with the ladies here.

Four Seasons

Melanie Anderson is awesome. We wanted to see the outside fountain area however it was down for renovation.  I was considering this location since it was beautiful in pictures however the site rental was a bit over my budget for ceremony. It doesn't include chairs, officiant etc and decorations.    She focus on catering and their ball rooms were amazing. Unfortunately they were booked for our date.  If not I would definitely go with her. The service and attention was amazing.

Mandalay Bay
We toured VOF and Swan Court.  I love the location of VOF but we both felt it was a bit loud for the ceremony.  The swan court was also beautiful but too small.  So we decided to just book inside and take pics at these location.

We also toured China Grill, Shanghai Lily and Aureole for reception location with Michelle. She was great!   I love Shanghai Lily however they didn't have a private room big enough to accomodate us. So we booked with Aureole which has private room up to 100 and guest can have access to swan court. So, I will get my pictures at the swan court YAY.

Cosmopolitan
The champagne bar was so pretty. It is 2 story bar right in the middle of the hotel.  Its a great location for pictures. The hotel was really crowded since it was new but a great location to check out for after party.  We also ate at STK. The food and music was also yummy.

I had my trial with her and the result was amazing. Unfortunately she had me down for the wrong date and now she's unavailable. Cry  I'm hunting for another MUA and photographer next...

Hope this helps everyone.

I called the four season for info when researching places before my scouting trip.  We have 50-60 guests and they said to have a reception in their ballrooms for 5-60 people it would be a $10K food and beverage minimum.  Too expensive for me, because I was looking to spend about $10K on the reception for everything, not just for food and beverage.

We are booked at Four Seasons and cannot say enough great things about Melanie. If she is close to your budget, I would definitely give her a look. She would be willing to work with you. If anyone wants more info send me a PM.
