Something fun for guests

We are getting married in Vegas in May & have about 30 people coming. We are not having a bridal party but I would like to do a bag of goodies for all the girls that are coming. Is this a good idea? And any suggestions of what to include-maybe Vegas themed?

  • I say save your money and either do more food or drinks... Or do the double decker bus tour.  Just my opinion

  • I agree with spending your money elsewhere....

You may want to search "OOT bags" and "vegas" on the bottom of the board to see ideas from other brides.

I'm giving my MOH a small handbag from etsy, a small hand mirror, her favorite lip gloss, and a few other goodies.  If you contact the Las Vegas visitors center, you can get some free stuff:

  • I think TK ate my post so I apologize if this duplicates -

If you do decide to give out some sort of gift, I would give something to everyone, not just the girls attending.

  • I thought about this myself and we wanted to do welcome bags but I didn't want my guests lugging them around vegas or have to worry about delivering them. But I think its a cute idea. I would include ibprofruen, hand sanitizer, nail file. Do a board search because I know I have seen posts on this topic before. There are so many cute favors I want to order but am hesitate because its Vegas and am scared it will be a huge waste of money with our crowd (lost, left behind, etc)

  • I agree with direy, if you want to put together welcome kits I would do it for everyone or one per couple. A past knottie contacted the Las Vegas visitor center (or something similar) and received free (!) kits with brochures, maps, coupons etc. You could add a few more items and voila.
  • Ditto Direy and Wiwi-- it should be all or none. But if this helps-- I work at for a hotel and we get those bags delievred for guests all the time and most guests never even touch them and they are left for the housekeepers to take home..

  • Thanks for all the input we already are doing a dinner reception and paying for everyone's dinner so maybe that is enough. I wouldn't want to do all that work and they are just left behind.
  • I'm doing welcome bags that I will have waiting in everyone's hotel room when they arrive.  I've included things for both men and women and even the kiddos that will be in attendance.  For the women I ordered pashmina scarves off ebay, for the men I got a Swiss Army type knife.  I am also including things like magnets, chap stick, candy, flower seeds on a card, hand sanitizer etc...  Its sort of like a welcome bag/favor bag all in one.  I figure they're flying all the way to Vegas just to see us get married so I needed to do something  nice.  And really with only about 30 people in attendance it wasn't terribly expensive.

Don't forget to account for the fee your hotel may charge to hold/deliver the bags.  I've heard MB charges $15 per bag.
  • oh wow, if they charge we will just hand out the bags at the rehersal dinner (which everyone is attending, not just the bridal party).  They're staying at Circus Circus  (I think - - at least right now they have the cheapest rates) so I'll ask when I make the reservations
