Using a vendor's bakery

I'm curious about anyone's experience who may have ordered their wedding cake through COF and if so, how did you like it?  I had originally set it up that we would just use whatever vendor they partnered with (Marie's bakery I think?) but then I started hearing all kinds of great stuff about Retro and the like and how much people liked cupcakes and now I think maybe I should go through them instead?

    I am using Marie's bakery because that is who Mon Ami Gabi uses.  I did a tasting there when I was in Vegas in August and was blown away by their deliciousness.  I was set on chocolate when I walked in and left choosing the lemon cake for one layer and red velvet for the other!

    We are havin our wedding dinner at mon ami gabi as well...its our fave restaurant in Vegas!  My only issue with Marie's bakery is i have been trying to communicate with them and they arent gettin back to me, Iam sure they are busy, but i wish we had other options with MAG...

    COF does receptions/cakes/etc? I always thought they were just ceremonies and that's it.

    Yep!  You can't have alcohol but they arrange cake for you and I think you can even have a small cake and punch reception on site.

    They are arranging our wedding cake for dinner after our ceremony.  It is extra to have it delivered but I just went that route rather than have the hotel make a cake since COF had exactly what I was looking for cake wise.  (Plus I think it was one of the less expensive options!)

    Also I do believe they work with some restaurants if you want to try and book a reception through them.  I didn't look into it however so I don't know pricing/etc.
